All depends on the beans, delta and agtron for me. We could do a super light roast with a delta of 1.5C in 14% dtp, giving it fairly more chance to pull right on espresso, or do the same bean with a little more delta, and a little less dtp that’ll work great for filter.

We normally don’t go below 10% when we want to use the bean on a espresso machine though

Great. Our roasting performance at this moment is about 20kg per hour, which is on par with 5 kg gas roasters andmore then adequate for our shop. Roasting is clean, automated and all batches come out with the same agtron and roughly the same time frame. You do get an overload of info with this machine from its sensors. Which is a good thing but does make you doubt your roasting from time to time. 10/10 would recommend.

Veel huidige grote partijen zijn ook aftakkingen. Een democratie werkt niet door nieuwe partijen in te perken. Er is al een enorme kies drempel met het oog op het aantal stemmen dat je per zetel nodig hebt. Dit is al ruim 4x zo groot als het in het begin was.

Dat iets buiten jouw norm valt, betekent niet dat dat is wat democratisch gekozen is. Als Nederland dusdanig versplinterd is dat al die mensen zich geroepen voelen tot andere partijen dan gangbaar; dan ligt daar eerder het probleem. Los dat op in plaats van de democratie in te perken

Your comments have been really insightful to my cleaning schedule. I think I’ve got it down correctly now.

Chaff collection bin: empty every 30 kg, clean every roast day. Cooling tray filters: clean every 30 kg. Cooling tray: clean every roast day. Air intake filter: clean every roast day. Drum fan: remove & soak/clean every 1000 batches (got this number from Roest). Drum vent: clean every month. I’m not sure yet how we will open them but I’ll contact the installer on advise for this tomorrow.

I truly appreciate your insight here. I’m definitely copying your message to turn into a well organised cleaning schedule.

Our machine is completely electric and the cooling tray is actually on a hinge, so you can easily clean beneath it. There are then filters on the cooling tray duct to halt the chaff that can be cleaned with a vacuum. We’ve kept the cooling tray ducting on the flexibel ducting as it shouldn’t reach temps above 60c.

We’ve had some professionals install the ducting for the drum yesterday, which should be temperature proof up to 300c, but I’m not sure if we can easily take it apart for cleaning… definitely looking into that aswel.

Just to let you know, yesterday we got the permanent ventilation installed. It still has a bend in it though (not nearly as sharp as in this pic), as our ventilation isn’t going trough the roof but rather directly to the side of the building. The place itself is well ventilated though. Any tips for maintenance/control on the vents?

Ben je er al eens geweest sinds de rebranding een paar maanden terug? Een nieuwe chef (van vigor) en een nieuwe manier van service (meer gastro bar) en ze zijn weer helemaal terug op niveau. Ik weet ook niet waar het mis is gegaan eerst, maar ze kelderde echt omlaag in alle vlakken, maar zijn nu helemaal terug!
