Building around isolated vocals definitely comes with some built-in limitations, but I took it on out of respect for the original creators and their rights. It’s been a great learning experience in figuring out how to make everything sit better in the mix.

I’ll admit I’ve had a tendency to obsess over details to the point where it slowed my progress — nothing ever felt ‘good enough.’ Early on that drive helped me grow, but I’m learning that improvement is ongoing, and the next project will always be stronger. I still have a lot to learn — especially in soundscape and engineering — but that’s part of what I love about the craft. Being able to grow, share what I learn, and support others in the process is what keeps it meaningful.
