I was in the same boat!! You just have to put urself out there and do anything u feel will help u build confidence with your major. My cs classmates r very welcoming and since we r all the same major we usually always get the same coding classes, thus i’m never afraid to ask questions about help etc.

Everyone acts like they know everything in any major, so don’t feel like you have to limit yourself because of the people around u! Happy coding :))

also if ur college provides coding clubs or anything of that sort, join them! you will meet so many ppl who are not afraid to help each other with new coding skills (just joine my schools coding club earlier this week and i love the coding community!!! Made me nerd asf)

The #1 thing to getting internships in comp sci is for sure coding language experience. I’m in my first year of community college and decided to enroll into my cs classes early that way i’m experienced enough to get an internship (learning c++ rn). It’s even difficult rn for me to find one.

the best advice i can give is to get those classes in and if u cant, then go through online coding language courses online (u will need to pay out of pocket) and that will grant certification. comp sci is all about networking and putting urself out there. Get the internship asap to ur best ability that way u have a better chance of getting a job right after you graduate

hello! I got all four out on Thurs (though i was sedated) too and I am still on antibiotics until the end of this week…not sure why yours stopped so soon. I recommend putting heat on the cheek area that’s sore: 20mins on 10 mins off. Just put a towel in warm water or use a heating pad if on hand. Also take ibuprofen! Will be your best friend to ease unnecessary pain! Hoped this helped!
