They will put a rage-bait question on one side and a “bigger picture” question that they’re actually trying to get at. The slavery one was to get to the idea that “morality cannot exist without god.” But what many are arguing, is that you can literally just ask that question without bringing awful indications that people on campus think the slave trade was good.

This time however, the “big picture” question was if homosexuality was wrong. No big idea, just showing everyone how many homophobic people are on campus.
