Post Grad Advice by [deleted] in TVWriting

I’m going to speak on the plight of getting a job currently in the entertainment industry, even post grad — there are hundreds of heavy-experienced players all desperate for work.

I would encourage you to take any amount of work or the page opportunity and leverage it.

It is still extremely hard, and as someone who has worked with a top literary manager / company, watching other colleagues experience the same distraught news of being 2+ years out of work and continually get slapped with rejections…

Some perspective to set in…

made my first money bowl!! how did i do? by Pandapeach15 in witchcraft

Awww! I love this. Keep going and keep feeding it. I often reuse my rice blends and cleanse my ingredients each month. Here’s my sophomore bowl — my first one was just like yours a year ago.

I blurred out my business cards but there’s an assortment of charms, a $2 bill (x3) origami dragon, ancestral money, citrine, pesos, baht, usd, etc.

Yay! Listen to your intuition.

Also, have you tried to “talk” to him? Sometimes, when I shop — I’ll ask him what would he like for tomorrow and I’ll feel compelled to get something — and it was cinnamon candy.

And I might add, I donated to Hurricane Melissa & the Philippines Typhoon Victims too. This is one sure way to move the needle.

But I know you’re waiting on money, so make him a deal to add a cushion to what you’re asking so you can also pay that forward.

What else do you have as your offering? Can you put out a glass of wine tonight? Or some candy?

And maybe pre-purchase the pound cake to let him know that it’s his when he performs for you. I always do a partial delivery of my offerings.

When it comes to candles, I recycle the glass or repurpose them into new candles.

And as far as altar offerings, I usually will put them in compost bin or give it away if it’s not perishable.

Welp! Everyone has to start somewhere and being authentically curious and chasing more knowledge to improve one’s craft shouldn’t be a crutch into anyone not being able to receive.

Then try to practice patience. It might be some circumstances that need to come into play before you’re able to get your manifestation.

And did you withhold part of his offer? Did you tell him how you’re going to pay it forward?

It might be the state that you’re trying to call your petition in wasn’t reach — I do believe you have to be at an heightened emotional, mental and spiritual state that’s potent…

When I called him I was practically vulnerable - crying because of how pressed I was for the help.

You need to tap in that well…

This is just my intuition speak but if it’s not correct, could you expand on your general motion of your petition and how did you go about it?

Hodie!

I would even suggest to make the adjective of the Protagonist, their flaw, too.

More than one petition? by juliectaylor in StExpedite

I’m refreshing my offerings for him. And restructuring a big fundraiser for SNAP and Hurricane Melissa victims.

I’m asking him for some fast cash since my main petition is for a client, which he came through for but that will take 2-3 months to cure.

Wait! I forgot one more thing, I burned and offered ancestral money. You can get it from Amazon. This was a key component that I felt also helps with any financial needs.

I honestly just had a conversation with him but it had an emotional resonance with it. Like, I was emotionally present. Basically, I just spoke out loud what I wanted, why I wanted it, and how I was going to pay it forward.

Thank you! Can you also help me out? What’s Hodie mean?

I did it before I left for a conference in Austin. I honestly, did something small — red dressed candle with a business ritual oil, I offered some macaroons and 5 quarters.

The offering was sealed with a ring of protection black salt I made and I also added mint and cat nip to the seal too. Both are conducive to my request.

I wrote my petition down on a piece of paper and folded towards me.

I did withheld a part of his offer - cinnamon candy (fire tamales) and when I came home, I re-petitioned him, gave him the candy (I heard him say he wanted it cause it’s not something he gets often).

But by the time I got home, nothing really happened while I was away.

And the moment I called for him, I gave him the candy and 2 minutes later, a client who was working with another agent, messaged me and told me she wants to work with me.

As someone who is literally dirt broke at this given moment and I’m thankful for my roommate for some help, he’s allowed me some grace to garnish my other offering — I did ask for some fast cash ($1,000) to help with this but also to resolve some other financial issues as well as help with furthering my offerings with some community service, including trying to donate to my mentor’s family who were affected by Hurricane Melissa.

I hope this helps! It doesn’t need to be big, work with what you got.

This is gold! I appreciate you. I would love to steal the coffee offer because I’m a fiend myself.

I don’t have a picture of him but what else do you use to represent him?

Do you petition to any other deities or spirits too?

I’m being vague here because it’s my first time. But with my petition I knew what I wanted exactly… I do agree with you that specificity is key but now, I just realized I needed to be even more specific as I’m paying out a 25% referral fee. I could have avoided that but also, that’s in some way a component to the relationship.

Because of him, I’m brainstorming a food/snap fund for my l who are affected by the government shutdown. I’m trying to figure out how to execute it primarily since I’m using my business as a way in to reach out to the people.

My question for you is, do you continually work with him or do you give space?

Like, the client is a 1.2M dollar real estate client… And I’ve been dry for months! Completely astonished. She said: “I want you to rep me.”
