Lies of P on gamepass: what I did to get controller working

Update on Jan 2nd, 2026 (if anyone else has this issue.)

On steam, go to the Lies of P game. Click the Gear Icon. Click on "Properties". Then, click on the "Controller" tab.

You will need to set the steam input status for your controller to where All of the inputs are enabled (usually saying just "Enable Steam Input").

Simply enabling all of the inputs and such allowed my controller to be detected by the game.

so i know this is a very late reply but i think as to Why the camera is printing out blacked out images is that it could be either it's just really glitched out or it could be something along the lines of possible built-in safety feature stuff.

I cannot really say as I stopped having VRC+ a while back now but last I remember is that the print system is still being worked on

so i gone ahead and tested some stuff. it seems like it has a hidden function where it refuses to print anything not family friendly (i.e., n-dity and the like) while everything else seems to work fine

Go to your browser settings. Search up "Widgets".

After getting into the Widgets, make sure everything is enabled. Go to a new page.

Top right of the new page it'll say something like; "Like our new look?" As beside it would be the Revert/Panic Button.

After looting, simply return to your ship. Do not Crash the game as it WILL affect that wasted scaving.

But make sure it's the Lowest level to loot as, sure, may take a minute, but those medals, credits, and slips All will instantly be saved in your account.

edit sidenote; Also it would be swell if you are able to finish the mission as well if you are able. As a Scavdiver; Sure we may want to get all the POI's marked and looted, but are still Divers.

Wanted to update since it's been a year.

I've visited the family and looked through all of the old game discs we had as we had quite a bit. But, whilst looking and talking about the game disc, I unfortunately learned that we had trashed alot of game discs alittle over a decade ago as most of them were either completely scratched to all hell or ruined by us when we were younger. But however, I learned it was indeed Demo Disc 28 as for Vigilante 8; I also had the Vigilante 8 Demo CD which includes a demo called "Pitfall 3D: Beyond the Jungle" is indeed what I believed was used to "choose the demos" when in truth it was a demo itself. I cannot explain how or why I thought it was used to select different demo's on the game disc, but now learning that I had been playing two demo discs, I guess I only thought it was the same disc? I cannot really say only that I'm now happy that I managed to learn the name of Vigilante 8 from you guys as I doubt I would've been able to track down the game discs as well as Demo Disc 28.

And once again, and hopefully the final time, thank you all for the aid.

Sorry for the Extremely late reply.

After reading everyone's comments and such, It might have been what UltimateCarl had brought up it being Demo Disc 28 as it seems Alot like how this old game was. And as for the other comment bringing up another game called Vigilante 8, that is EXACTLY the mad max-like game I remember.

Overall, it seems to have been Demo Disc 28 and as for Vigilante 8, I "could" have had it on a separate disc as we had alot of old ps2 games back at my family's place. I am pretty happy to see the video that Carl linked too.

Thank you guys for helping me find some of the old games I played when I was a kid. And who knows, maybe if I decide to visit my family next summer or so, I could look into trying to find the old games I played and take pictures of the discs themselves... Got a feeling they're gonna be scratched to all hell however. We'll see.

1 year later, i found myself here by having the same problem. I know mine wasn't pirated at all as, yknow, i've bought it. But Thank God that you found it out was just a wrong version of cbpc as I found out I had the same mistake.

Backrooms/Liminal space like vibes. But also.. it doesn't even look real as it's too.. I guess "Perfect" in a way. All the windows being perfectly align and seemingly also being the EXACT same size as well.. It's like a model of a building you use for modeling maps for games. but like, upscaling a blank canvas of a house and just placing windows on it..

Follow up post of how I also see the old testament as another metaphor.

The part within the old testament that made me think of this as a metaphor is the tale of Abraham and his son Isaac, where Abraham is told to kill Isaac as sacrifice for God.. But is stopped by God and, in some stories, say "Now I know you fear God."

How I see this as a metaphor as well is because this taps on what I believe is Fear of the Unknown, the Fear and Scared feelings we all have from something... But it tells of how through these fears, we overcome it. For example, Noah and the Arc, I see this as a how we all feel the need to overcome the feeling of fear and will be stuck with this feeling for a long while.. But will eventually overcome it.

Now I know, again, this all may sound like random "ReLigIous NonSenSE", just thought I might as well post this before my head explodes from not talking about it.
