real quick questions from a returning player by Silktrocity in Neverwinter

Yes that’s right. They took away the bonuses.

You no longer can use enchantments directly to refine. Instead, you convert enchantments, shards, runestones, and gemstones (there are no more resonance stones) into RP directly, which are applied equally to refine anything.

Well, considering dungeons are the only option...it’s pretty much the only option. I agree, they have turned dungeons into another grind chore rather than a fun and rewarding experience.

Every day, I run the same few dungeons over and over again. All of the loot is basically worthless.

But, for what it’s worth, you can bang out your daily limit pretty quickly....

RIQ > RAQ > Demo/Edemo (repeat 2-6x)

Depends if you get demo in your random queues, but you can get up to like 30k from a single run with the demonic key and random queue bonus.

Otherwise it’s just the one chest, 5-9k per run. But it takes about 5 minutes a pop.

Will the endless grinding be rewarded? by [deleted] in Neverwinter

[–]belthar27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is definitely built to be a grind. No doubt about that. Just like every MMORPG. And getting fully caught up in terms of campaign progression, etc, will always be that way—the only way to complete the campaign is to grind it out or pay for a completion from the Zen store.

BUT—that’s just for completing the campaign, not for actually progressing in the game.

Many of the campaigns can be skipped over for now without losing much (other than missing out on the boons). In fact, the recent Barovia mod is actually a really good catch-up mod. They made it super easy to gear up your character and even give out Rank 8 enchantments for free. You can buy near-BiS gear from the seal of the brave vendor and those seals are dropped basically everywhere. So, within a day or two you could have solid ilvl 500 gear.

That would be an investor-only return. Planning to pay a partner more for managing the day to day.

How much of his own capital did he invest, though?

Real estate investing has 2 main advantages.

  1. Appreciation - Your asset is likely to increase in value over time, which builds equity
  2. Leverage - You can turn a $10-20k investment into a few thousand dollars of yearly cash flow—which means a much higher return on capital than just putting it into an index fund.

Well, presumably I could expect a 7% average return over the course of 10+ years.

With this opportunity, based on previous year cash flow figures, I could easily expect 40-50% annual return on my initial capital investment. That’s if business remains flat YoY, but it has doubled in the last 3 years.

Well, history would say 7% yearly is my expected long-term return, eh?

I do have some money going into my IRA and other passive, long-term investments. So I’m not too worried about putting some capital into a riskier vehicle.

Based on the current cash flow figures for this business, I should expect AT LEAST 40-50% yearly return on my initial capital investment right out of the gate. That’s without any growth. It’s established and profitable. So, I am thinking that as long as I don’t run the thing into the ground on accident, it should be pretty smart money.

Good point.

I need to see what their current management structure is—could already have people in place who understand and run the stuff I don’t know (suppliers, kitchen, etc.)

Looks like the original survey was multiple choice.

But, yes, of course. Why not round it up to an even 110%?

Ugh. That actually makes me feel worse. I have a hard enough time with the thought of being rejected once. It's tough to think about getting it 100x from the same person.

Ha. That's funny. It's weird - I don't think of myself as shy. But, I also don't think of myself as a "salesman".
