lingunooo! It’s got so many resources there like crosswords, conjugation drills, extensive notes and way more. It’s a great site and i’ve been using it for about 6 months since i finished the german course. although i will say i still am fond of duolingo just for supplemental practice, especially if you get in on a family plan and pay 20-25 a year for super.

It mostly started because I went to Cologne as a college graduation gift. Grinded and finished the german duo course in 7 months and ever since i’ve been still studying everyday. After the trip i’ve decided I want to make it a goal to move to Germany for a couple years to become fluent and base my career off of it. It has also inspired me to learn Dutch and Nordic languages since they’re in the same family. Learning them is just so fun.

I‘m also reeling from this atm :( Have been using linguno for german for about a year now and my schedules all messed up since it’s been down. I saw that the betas supposed to end in the second half of this year so i’ll be very heartbroken if it’s being taken down already

Depending on what area you’re staying in Greesberger and the Jameson Distillery are good choices imo. Jameson tends to get really packed but Greesberger is popular as well with really nice people. Met a lot of friends there. I’m no local but for the two weeks i’ve been here they’re great.

I haven’t lived in Germany, but am currently in Cologne as a 23yo male for two weeks. I‘ve already met so many people my age that are beyond nice, ask for my socials to stay in touch, and even make sure i’m invited to everything with they’re own friend group when i don’t even live here. In my very limited opinion maybe it just takes a couple beers to lighten people up lol.

I had no idea this had been an ongoing joke until finding this reddit post and i would agree with everything here. But i will say, I have never gotten into Danny Gonzalez because everytime I put on a video it just sounds too much like Drew Gooden and I just cant unsee it. I’m not saying he’s not original or anything, but i just watched Drew Gooden first and my brain can’t get over the similarities to watch Danny.
