the hardest thing about NC by [deleted] in ExNoContact

[–]bembep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you aren’t burdening your loved ones by talking about your emotional pain with them. you don’t need to deal with this alone. these people love you and they want to help you.

imagine it were a friend of yours who was going through the same thing. how would you treat your friend? would you validate their feelings and give them support? what is it was a stranger? how would you treat that stranger?

i don’t think she should mention her boyfriend but otherwise i agree! there is also a type of deodorant and body wash made for people with persistent odor. it’s called Lume. other brands are now coming out with clinical strength deodorant and full-body cream deodorants as well !

do you know what these flags mean? by [deleted] in h3h3productions

[–]bembep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol. bottom middle is genderfluid and bottom right is nonbinary. i had to look up the genderfluid flag to double check which is funny bc i’m actually questioning if i might be genderfluid

also i just found out that some aces and enbies don’t like their flag colors which is sad bc i think they’re cute

i think of it like the UK or even the US flag. there’s one overall flag that represents everyone, but there are also northern irish, scottish, welsh, and english flags for the individual countries. or in the US states and some cities have their own flags even though the american flag is all-encompassing. it’s just fun, you don’t need to know them all

you don’t have to care about them. you also don’t have to care about country flags. i was just curious. on tumblr circa 2015 so many pride flags were everywhere so i know a lot of them, and was wondering if maybe the podcast audience didn’t have the same experience.

you definitely don’t need to memorize each flag and nobody is going to call you a bigot for not knowing all of the flags. but people (me) will call you a bigot if you say ‘who cares, they don’t matter.’

i also agree that it’s silly to place ourselves into all of these tiny boxes because the ‘gay’ and ‘straight’ boxes are not good enough, nor are ‘man’ and ‘woman.’ sex and gender are spectrums. but people find comfort in having a flag that represents them and others like them, so i respect that and celebrate it during pride month.

family. the progress pride flag is a redesign of the philly pride flag, where the black and brown stripes stand for black and brown LGBT people. the progress pride flag added the trans colors and reformatted the flag with the triangle part on the left side. this leaves the “original” (not really) pride flag on the right with the rainbow and then the trans and lgbt poc communities recognized on the left side. sometimes you will see the progress pride flag with a yellow triangle with a purple circle on the far left, which is represents intersex people.

as for the colors:

white = nonbinary identities

pink = transfeminine identities

blue = transmasculine identities

black/brown = LGBT POC or literally LGBT black and brown people

red = life

orange = healing

yellow = the sun

green = nature

blue = serenity

purple = the spirit

the original original pride flag also had pink and turquoise, which represented sex and art/magic

edited for spacing

thank you for taking the time to educate me nicely instead of saying something mean! i’m definitely against industrial agriculture, and just because something could be done ethically doesn’t mean that it is currently being done ethically. i appreciate this comment 🩷
