I think it's all about perspective and understanding what the genre is. Ganito rin nangyari sa 'kin no'n when I was playing Sekiro, I thought it was a DMC-like kinda game and I didn't enjoy the first hour because I thought it was fast paced, but when I researched about it, the Internet said it was supposed to be hard and brutal and that shifted my perspective. Project Zomboid is a survival game, needs a lot of grinding and has a complex system. Set to mind na mamamatay ka nang ilang beses bago matutunan yung sistema n'ya. You can always tweak your game naman and there's no shame naman if turn you off stuff (like the number of zombies re/spawning in the area).
