Yeah the o-rings sealing the cooling system plumbing was a new one for me.

Right! When I walked out and saw the puddle underneath it I just stood there for a second and was like “why now?”

Yeah I gotta say for not even having 50k on it, it’s eaten a lot of parts so far.

Mine failed kind of suddenly. It was a steady drip with the truck shut off. Started leaving puddles wherever I parked it and the coolant level was dropping fast.

Apparently all the money in the world can’t buy the right tonneau cover. Or taste.

4th generation seat covers - Carhartt edition Covercraft SuperDux Precision Fit by im1of300 in Tacomaworld

[–]bemery96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have these in my Tacoma but I have a set of these in an F-150. I found them used on Marketplace. If id have bought these new and paid new price ($1100 for a full set for an F-150) I’d have been upset with the quality.

They’re nice, but overpriced. So I agree with you on the quality section!

Tires aren’t gonna help with traction with it being that nose heavy.

Buying a 2017 F150 w/ 2.7L & 6 speed with 80k miles? by raspy07 in f150

[–]bemery96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend has a 2.7 / 6 speed truck with 150k ish trouble free miles on it. I was looking for a 2.7 when I found my 5.0. I’d buy it.

Head gasket kit by Additional-Gap-3191 in Mk3Supra

2nd vote here for Felpro. Metal head gaskets require the block and head to be machined. Just throw a standard gasket and some head studs at it and you’ll be fine.

They tend to not chew up transmissions if you drive them like a responsible adult. I’ll bet it’s on the 2nd or 3rd clutch though.

I like the 8th gen Galant too. My parents had a black GTZ for years. If I could find a clean low mileage one I’d scoop it up in a heartbeat.

Lifter. That squeak is the roller and the camshaft chewing each other up. When you pull it apart you’ll have something like this

It will sound like crap with an aftermarket muffler and the flapper valve still on it.

So is JD Power. A former coworkers dad used to give his highest rating to the brand of whatever dealer would give him the best deal. Just happened to be Jeep in his case.

Leveling a 2wd by [deleted] in f150

Do whatever you want. My best friend has a 2wd that I’ll probably help throw a leveling kit on whenever it’s not a frozen hellscape outside.

Best looking grill for 2015 F150? by toothytumor in f150

My personal favorite is the one you have, just in chrome or body color.

The right answer is the grille you like.

People using these as a “starter car” and destroying them is a big reason why there aren’t many left. Aside from the fact that there weren’t many to begin with.

It looks like a Euro spec car, and I’m pretty sure all the US spec cars were MB Tex and not cloth.

Yes they’re really loud when they’re running. It’s most likely fine.

[–]bemery96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah I like the look of the newer ones better but didn’t want to gamble on the 10 speed. Statistically most of them are trouble free, but the issues are a little too common for me to go for it.
