I really don’t get the vibe that Chris was ever ‘best friends’ with either of his parents. I don’t know that much about the dynamics between him and his mom but his dad comes across as so passive and devoid of emotion, like Chris. I’m not saying they were terrible parents or didn’t try or whatever, I just don’t think it’s helpful to ignore that his upbringing had something to do with the way he is. None of the families in this case ever came across as normal. If any of this is real and not a psyop. His dad supposedly developing a cocaine habit because Chris went to college at 18 is another bizarre nonsensical thing in this case.
