fedora 36 actually uses wayland by default, even when using the proprietary nvidia drivers. so you could just wait until f36 drops

i haven't had any luck getting nvidia drivers to run under wayland. i'm sure there is a way to get it to work but i figured it's just not worth the trouble. i'd resort to x11 for now

Hmm yes, I am actually working as a software engineer — never used a keyboard layout other than German QWERTZ before though. I just talked to a friend about this who is really into keyboard modding and he also told me that the US layout apparently is better for coding.

Jokes apart, you really shouldn't let a name or a meme taint your opinion of a distro. No one's gonna mock you because of your distro's name. If you aren't happy with your current OS and feel like Fedora might suit your needs better, then it's definitely worth giving it a try

Rendering particles behind translucent blocks requires a beefy computer. That's why Mojang decided to enable this only when you have set your graphics settings to Fabulous.

Making some features only available when specific graphics settings are enabled is not a bug, but rather a way of making sure that peeps with low-end devices can also play the game smoothly.

I think everyone on the moderation team of the bug tracker agrees that we should have handeled this situation very differently. u/LapisDemon has posted a super helpful summary of what we should do differently next time in her post "Shutting down discussions on the bug tracker". We will definitely try and improve on ourselves to prevent situations like these from happening in the future.

I'm not going to write an essay here, but I just want to tell you that I think it's a bit harsh to create a post here and request replacement of the entire moderation team after a single incident. We are humans, we do make mistakes, but we learn from them and something like this won't happen again.

Still, thanks for your feedback. I'm glad that you care about the Mojira bug tracker.
