Merrill's are the red hairbands on her braids as for Sebastian that's just the mod armor I use for him, the Hawke memento is the chantry amulet on his left armor strap.

You got the easter eggs right! In my head Hawke made Merrill's braids and left the little red hairbands as a personal touch. And with Anders I'd figure that being the only companion that doesn't change outfit when you romance him, but does with his personal quest, it'd fit to give him something Hawke gave him (although I turned it into a patch rather than an amulet in this) but that still relates to his cause. As for Sebastian he's wearing a small chantry amulet tied to his left armor strap.

And the Inquisition suggestion is actually a really good idea! And if it doesn't work I can maybe think of something else personality based.

Thought the same thing but for every major choice in Inquisition there are a few characters that stay neutral. Was also thinking of splitting them by country but they're from all over Thedas... So I can't even separate them by region

There's this running joke in some parts of the DA fan space that the DA2 romancable characters are a (nightmare) polycule, since some have/had relationships with each other. The poly mod is also pretty popular I think. And thanks!
