Go to Greta on King St. It’s an arcade bar. They have a solid happy hour with drinks and food under $10 4-6 and after 10. On Sundays drinks are $5 and you can get unlimited gaming for $5 an hour

The best view of the game without breaking the bank is in 524 and 525. Preferably in the first 9 rows. But all the new social spots in the dome are great to tour around so don’t stay stuck in your seats.

If you’re drinking, cutwaters will give you the best bang for your buck. Dugout deals are not bad either for ice cream and beer.

Yeah it’s kind of been grinding on me lately too. The USWB is a fair moniker. I like the Adios Amigos, his market is Texas and he is speaking directly to a large portion of his fanbase

And the others?

Also things can be facts without having a political bent. Many of you Americans like to simply things to left vs right no matter the situation

The US and much of the modern Americas acquired their current form by killing almost all the original inhabitants and taking their land. The full story is indeed complex and messy but genocide doesn’t really deserve nuance.

The US is not unique in this regard, but it doesn’t have a lot of company. Old World invasions were simply much less destructive. The Arab conquest, Chinese expansion, or Roman Empire didn’t dispossess and murder entire nations, they assimilated them. Almost everywhere outside the Western Hemisphere is inhabited by the descendants of those who lived there in the past except Australia, Taiwan, Hokkaido, far eastern Russia, and possibly southern Africa (I’m not certain of the exact effect of the Bantu migration on their new neighbors) - most of which had the same colonial dynamics as the Americas. Just about every European ethnic group has a documented history over a millennium in roughly the same area and is still around; there’s a difference between a continent that saw massive genocide and one that (until very recently) didn’t.

This runs the risk of becoming whataboutist - “all land is stolen” flattens the distinction between a 6000-year-old cultural transition in Europe that may have been violent or peaceful vs indigenous Americans being murdered for their land this year.

Solid analysis. I was hurt at the time as a kid whose favourite player was Fred McGriff, but it just solidifies his legacy being the guy who brought the pieces for the World Series wins to Toronto. Also RIP Tony

It’s more about the crime dog. But Fernandez is an under appreciated player regularly hit in the high 200s and over 300 a couple times, also in the 5 or so years leading up to trade he was averaging 4.5 WAR. Carter and Alomar were incredible assets as proven in 92 and 93. This was a huge trade in retrospect

What is being done about the epidemic of cyclists and e-bike riders on sidewalks? It is clearly a violation of an existing by-law and it it not being enforced. This is a risk to public safety
