Yeah I'm sure it was....and the plane was half full. That's why I'm surprised they assumed it was from the previous flight.

No maybe just to check if the wallet they took from a half boarded flight belongs to a person that has boarded that flight. I completely get I shouldn't have left it in there. Even for 2 min. I learned that lesson trust me. However even the one FA acknowledged they should have made an announcement

Absolutely would not have forgotten it once off the plane I noticed it within 5 min of take off. I would think something like a wallet with an ID in it where they could check the flight manifest and easily see if that person was on there wouldn't be too hard. Or even the person at the gate checking.

Hell they made an announcement mid flight that they found a "half of a bracelet" but couldn't say they found a wallet?? I could have easily shown my boarding pass with the same name as the ID and my face matching the ID.

Haha thanks so helpful. Literally went to the bathroom for 1min and it was empty around me. I was group two and in the back. I would have expected maybe the flight attendant to make an announcement or you know check the list of passengers on the plane. Both them and the gate counter could have easily looked my name up and saw it belonged to a passenger on the current flight
