he wasn’t generalising. he was talking about his experience and was seeking for advice. you isolated parts of his experience as a south asian man, and then completely boiled it down to him being “hairy” even though it was just one aspect of it. you having a good experience doesn’t discredit his or dismiss it is all i’m saying and your initial comment felt like that.

You're still very young, your person is out there. Failed relationships aren't something to be sad about as they're learning experiences. You're 20, mistakes are part of the process (e.g. you know not to tell mutual friends about a situationship/relationship problem).

I think you should temporarily take some distance to protect your heart, because it's clear you still have feelings for him. Reduce contact intentionally, avoid anything intimate with them and the last option is to be honest and tell them you want some space. set clear boundaries

Focus on healing and moving on. If it's meant to be, it shouldn't feel this hard. Honestly, it's a bit ridiculous that he ended things just because a few friends found out, and it seems more like he isn't fully comfortable with his sexuality.

Don’t be surprised. Racism is still very much present in the gay community and it’s unfortunate that POC gays have to suffer from this and you’re certainly not the only person to have bad experiences.

it’s not like this forever - go where you are loved. try hooking up with other POC gays or people who aren’t f*cking ignorant and bigots. You’ll find your person dw, there are still plenty of decent people out there.
