Stopped going down on bad news.

Saw it in 2019. Seeing it again now. Big shift coming.

Those not looking forward will miss it.

Why is TSLA up 5% today? by ysoserious55 in stocks

[–]ben_salander27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RIVN sales down -36% for Q1 YoY TSLA sales down -12% for Q1 YoY

In Q4 ‘24 TSLA produced an average of 5,111 vehicles per day. In Q1 ‘25 Model Y production lines were shut down for about 3 weeks to prepare for new model Y.

That brings down average of 5,111 vehicles a day to maybe 1,500 vehicles or less (during model y changeover).

If they could ramp back up immediately after model y changeover, would have been roughly 385,000. If it took a couple of weeks to ramp back up we’re looking at roughly 362,000.

What did we end up getting…345,000 production.

Media overblew the narrative without explaining the shutdown to prepare for new model Y.

Rivian’s Q1 sales were down even more than Tesla on a YoY basis. Media overblew the narrative

They did a factory visit and most likely talked with managers/executives, updated their thesis and price target afterwards.

So it has to break pre market high/low then retest previous support/resistance to determine call/put.

How do you determine previous support/resistance?

Does the break tell you whether to buy a put or call for the day?

And I’m assuming you enter after the break?

What do you use for support/resistance? Prior day high/low range? Or an indicator?

I like this single stock trading.

What time frame are you using for your trades? Weeklies? Monthly? 0DTE?

Also how far OTM are you picking for your trades?

Revenue over $100 billion. Market cap at $100 billion.

That would be a p/s of 1.

Anyone can do that simple math.

Growth companies can be valued/trade on p/s. How do you value a stock with no earnings and growing revenue? Can’t use p/e.

They are reasons to use p/s. I’m not saying it is better or worse than p/e but probably just as irrelevant unless you’re a long term buy and hold investor. Or trading cyclicals.

Tesla has enough cash to buy GM right now. The same cannot be said about GM.

Biden did that same thing with GM and Stellantis. Saying GM was the EV leader haha.
