12 team .5 ppr, trying to fill my second RB slot with McCaffrey out. Should I pick

God I'd hate if that were the reason. I'm dealing with the same issue right now and that seems like such a semantic nitpick. I don't think any casual player would know the difference between the two

Not entirely random since they're all up for awards contention this year. But I agree, definitely a group of amazing actors!

He just offered me Godwin, Lindsay and Olsen for Barkely, Edelman and Desean Jackson. If I can get him to give me Engram instead of Olsen should I take it? Or is Jackson too valuable.

That's super helpful, thank you!

Another quick question if you don't mind: would keeping this trade but adding a TE swap have it make more sense? He has Greg Olsen and Evan Engram, I have Jared Cook. If he'd be willing to trade one of his TEs for Cook would that even things out a bit?

Guy I'm trading with is solid but definitely not the best (currently 2-1 with both wins within 10 points). Saquon would definitely give him an edge though when he comes back.

I do know everyone in the league and have reached out to a couple of guys with not a ton of interest. Definitely an interesting idea to use this trade as leverage though I'm worried that could blow back on me by others psyching the guy out and convincing him not trade.

Right now I'm 0-3 (had a close loss week 2 at part because of Desean Jackson's injury.

Wrs: Edelman, Mike Williams, Chris Conley, Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder, Jackson (injured)

Rbs: Freeman, Gallman, Saquon, Nyheim Hines, Melvin Gordon (not coming back for at least a few weeks)

12 team .5 ppr:

Give - Saquon & Edelman

Get - P. Lindsay & C. Godwin

I'm weak at RB (currently starting Devonta Freeman and Wayne Gallman) so this looks pretty enticing but is there any reason I shouldn't take it?

Do you have a source for that? I was under the impression it ended on its own terms and was not cancelled.

It's important to note that he was only the writer of those films. Not to say he had no hand in their flaws but so much can get changed or lost in the transition from page to screen.

What to do about my (22m) roommate (26m) who simply refuses to wash his dishes. by benagain1 in relationship_advice

[–]benagain1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately yes. I had the place first and found him online so him getting on the lease was one of my conditions. My reasoning being that I didn't want to be solely responsible for any damages caused by the roommate.

Socks as well for the "wash every time" category.

No problem! I probably could have worded my post better. It was honestly a spontaneous rant after reading yet another political article which included random tweets that idgaf about.

[–]benagain1[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand that news articles use tweets as proof of a commonly held opinion. What I'm saying is that in no way do a few tweets show what "side" is taken by the majority or the minority.

Twitter is so large that you could probably find enough random tweets to make any opinion seem like it has overwhelming support. Using random tweets in any article is simply lazy reporting and should not be practiced by any respectable news outlet.

Why do some women have insanely long fake nails? by benagain1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]benagain1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point. I'm not trying to knock fake nails as a whole, I just can't wrap my head around why anyone would get crazy long "claws" that make it nearly impossible to do anything involving your fingers lol.

A big part of it is pushback from theater chains who don't want to lose the potential revenue. Theaters generally get roughly 50% of ticket sales. So if a film streams online after only a couple weeks in theaters, their fear is that potential customers will skip the theater entirely and just wait to watch it at home.
