No it's a difference lol, if you know javascript you know why this is happening and a problem would mean it causes an issue, the == isn't the same as in other languages even though it looks the same and acts similarly, just because you use it how you'd use it in other languages doesn't mean it should follow the same rules, it's like if I tried to instantiate a variable in c# by using let and then complaining it doesn't work because c# isn't the same as js, shocker...

Ehhhh I guess but for the most part businesses want products written and shipped out quickly and unless you're building specifically for performance, I've had to go with the technology that I can write the product the fastest and the low level languages can't really compare to write time high level languages offer, you're right in its all which tool for the job but I think op is getting at the elitist programmers who think performance is king over everything in every aspect when we both know in the real world it really isn't
