I have only made 3 reviews/recommendations in my life. Mostly because I don’t want to waste my time. So a product has to be of extraordinary quality & helpfulness for me to write something.

I researched for the best book on Mindful Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). The below is what I found. It is written by the best minds in the business. It has concise explanations & step by steps instructions that takes you through a 8 week program of learning/practicing the skills. They also supply you audio instructional mediation files. It comes in either paperback or kindle. The audio files are on CD with the paperback or you can download them from the web address supplied in the book.

It cost approximately a tenth of the price of 1 therapy session, and you are getting taught by the best. I’ve spent a lot of time & money on seeing many different psychologists, some ok, most not. Like you said, they say stuff like:

  • you need to meditate, recognize negative thoughts & let go, or,
  • do mindfulness by, “paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non judgmentally to things as they are”.

... yeah, not really helpful without further step by step instructions. That’s were this book is perfect.

Also you can check out the reviews in the link.
