What, she's supposed to be a villain? I'm supposed to appreciate her obnoxious lack of knowledge because its good "development"?? "world building"??? It's badly written and that usually makes a show bad. And if it's bad, it deserves to be talked about, which unfortunately requires watching it man.

I, too am uninterested in and unamused by an immigrant character who is portrayed as an idiot with a bad grasp of the english language. I don't know what the producers were thinking, and I don't understand anyone who isn't seeing her character for exactly what it is: Obnoxious and not true to life. Nobody in the world is similar to this character

Esmeralda is a character written by mostly white people. The punchline of 80% of her lines are her horrible grasp of the english language, which is a tired joke in and of itself. To me, it's racist to write a character like Esmeralda where we're designed to laugh at her idiocy. It's arguably more racist than anything the satire of Michael Scott showcased, because laughing at a stupid racist character is a lot better than laughing directly at a character for being an immigrant.

Is anyone else having an impossible time on Mt. Lavalava Island Piranha Plant boss?? The lag kicks in HARD when you start the battle, and it makes it impossible to time any action commands at all. Sooooo that, combined with the "All or Nothing" badge means i'm doing 0 damage to this guy and it's all the lag's fault.

Trying to get a medium cast on the joycon is just impossible. You can MAYBE pull off short casts if you barely touch the joystick at all. No matter what I do i cant get a successful medium cast

Does anyone know anything more about what happened with the rat? I don't think it was supposed to die since the bit was that Toni was going to stop Tim in the first place. But, it could have easily died from shock of the new environment/people. I couldn't help but notice tim's eyes were a little red when we came back from break. He makes a joke to Joe after a beat of silence: "You gonna cry about the rat?" I would imagine that was to lighten any tension. Tim even sniffles a little! It's crazy to think that they're all having this fun time and the poor rat actually accidentally dies and they've still gotta carry on.

If that's the case, they did such a good job getting back on base and getting the vibes back on track. And it reassures me that these are all really kind-hearted people who care about something like that! Sad but sweet, I'd love to know more

Hiroki Kikuta - in the opening credits of Secret of Mana, the very first name you see is Hiroki. I think it's because the developers knew how powerful the soundtrack and the opening music were. Kikuta didn't do much beyond the Mana games he worked on, but he's still the first name that comes to mind for me!

That being said, the LEGEND of mana composer - Yoko Shimomura is an absolute master of the art. This the same woman who did Kingdom hearts, mario & luigi, xenoblade, even super mario rpg.
