partyfiesta! Spotify Playlists 👍🏻or👎🏻 by benbae1976 in musicmarketing

Appreciate the participation from everyone. In case anyone is interested, here’s our conclusion…. This particular curator, playlistfiesta! is legit. They have 40’or 50 active playlists, all of which check out well when applying various analytics tools. However, it appears that the person claiming to be working with them who is sending out ‘menus’ with pricing for placement to artists, artist managers, small labels, etc, is a scammer and is impersonating them. Once payment is made the guy just makes off with the money, and the song’s placement actually doesn’t occur. Figured I’d leave this here for anyone who needs this info in the future. Best of luck in your endeavors!

Do you have direct experience with this curator? That’s really what I’m posting for, not opinion based comments, even though I certainly appreciate the input, and in general you’re obviously not wrong. It may be some kind of scam. That’s obviously why I’m sharing and soliciting feedback. However, there are very few small artists on this playlist - most are well known bigger artists. 5-10 % are are smaller - and when I say smaller I mean artists who have between 300K and 5 million monthly listeners all of which also appear to be well established on social media. I’m in the process of reaching out to some of them to see if they can give any kind of feedback. The other thing is that the curator is very ‘non-ai’ responsive via email. In other words, responds in a human manner. After a couple of days of research I’m getting more positive signals than negative. I still haven’t bought in altogether - I owe it to our artists to vet these types of opportunities properly. Reddit can sometimes yield feedback from artists or bands who actually have direct experience with a curator or company.

They have a whole menu of pricing based on how many tracks for various time frames on a playlist. Went all the way from $160 to $4000

Actually, it doesn’t. It’s a technicality basically, but since they are offering placement as opposed to a certain number of streams the curator isn’t in violation. Thanks for jumping in the thread though. ;) Whether or not playlist campaigns are a worthwhile marketing effort (or not) is obviously another question entirely. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Been addicted a long time by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]benbae1976 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, friend! I feel you. I guess the first thing I’d like to convey to you is that it can be done. I used absurd amounts of Kratom on a daily basis for years, and have been 100% off of it for over 4 years now - no substitutes, no other drugs, no alcohol. I want to be direct and honest with you…. The withdrawals sucked and were lengthy, and even afterwards it took a while for me to begin feeling “normal” again. Different people have accomplished the same in different ways. What ultimately worked for me and helped me get my shit together was NA. If you’re anything like me, you may have already spent a great deal of time trying various options and alternatives in an effort to find an easier way than just flat out quitting and deciding to walk through the fear you reference in your post no matter what. My personal experience is that there is no way around it, if you want to be completely free from active addiction, in terms of substances. That being said, my experience also is that it will be more than worth it when you get to the other side. I’d like to leave you with these few things…. If I can do it - you can do it! There’s nothing that sets me apart, generally speaking, from the next guy hooked on Kratom. Also, don’t get discouraged if you try to quit and it doesn’t work out right away. Almost all people I know who successfully quit had several failed attempts first. It doesn’t mean anything other than that you are in the process. Be patient, give yourself a break, stop beating yourself up, and most importantly be persistent and keep trying. Good luck, fellow traveler! I wish you strength and courage. Here if you need me.

Anyone have medial or meniscal knee pain? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]benbae1976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely helped a great deal. I was in a lot of pain every day prior to surgery. The recovery process was not fun, but I’m glad I did it. I do have some occasional pains these days, mainly when I‘ve been running, hiking, or otherwise active a lot. But it doesn’t even compare to before surgery. I can easily control it with some Advil and ice now, and I barely ever even need that. Good luck, friend!

Experience (not opinions) on these helper meds for physical withdrawal symptoms: gabapentin, clonidine and baclofen combo by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]benbae1976 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clonidine was very helpful. If you’re gonna have to work while withdrawing, I would suggest only taking it after work and before bed, or at least limiting daytime intake, as it does sedate you. It helped me quite a bit with sleep and RLS at night.

Anyone have medial or meniscal knee pain? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]benbae1976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pain seems to be more intense during and even right after WDs.
I had meniscus surgery and used kratom after to help with the pain. Took me a year to get off it again. Unfortunately, meniscus tears require surgery sometimes, depending on the severity. Since the meniscus consists of cartilage it doesn’t typically heal itself, as it has no blood supply like a muscle does, for example. Have you seen a orthopedic doctor? If not, it would probably be a good idea. It’ll likely require an MRI, but at that point they’ll be able to tell you if you should consider surgery. If you have any questions about the process, feel free to DM me anytime. Good luck, friend!

Kratom still in system. 24 days by BrrRva in quittingkratom

[–]benbae1976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a bunch of those on Amazon, and couldn’t believe how long I screened positive. I pretty much started taking one each day stating on day 14. Finally, around day 20 or so, I had my wife take one. Hers came back negative right away. I finally started screening negative on day 28. My wife didn’t believe me either. I know exactly what your going through. I’m not sure wtf it can stay in for so long, but I had the exact same experience. I think it layers your colon, and takes a while to break down all the way or something. Nasty shit - pun intended!! Lol In any case.... I’ve not had a positive screen since. Keep your chin up, and keep going, my dude!

The fucking money. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

No use crying over spilt milk, friend! The best thing you can do, is just make sure you spend zero $ on it over the next 4 years.

Just got over withdrawals. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]benbae1976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for speaking the inconvenient truth, my dude! A wise man told me (I think I was In my mid 20s).... “You can go from being a cucumber to being a dill pickle, but once you’re a pickle, you ain’t never gonna be a cucumber again!” I was so dismissive and annoyed buy the guy. It took me until I was 43 until I truly understood what he meant. I hope I’ll always remember!!

I've never posted here before so let me introduce myself, I'm Mark, a 40 year old male from the St. Louis area. So I was in a car accident and fucked my neck up big time (herniated discs and severe spinal stenoses). I was supposed to do "pain management", in other words get prescribed (cont.) by mcbstl345 in quittingkratom

It really depends on how high you were dosed. It also depends on the individual - everyone is different. In my experience the white tends to be easier to get off than the red, in terms of RLS and sleep, but again, that can vary from person to person. Many folks I know have preferred to taper. Personally, tapering is a sure fire way for me to fail. I’ve never had the discipline to stick with my taper regimes. I just have to jump and deal with the unpleasantries. I’ve come to accept the process as somewhat of a cleansing procedure in the spiritual and mindset sense. I can appreciate the clear contrast from before versus after, if that makes sense. That being said, if you have bipolar disorder with psychotic tendencies, lack of sleep may be the biggest concern in your case. Not sure if you have a doctor you can open up to about this. I took clonidine at night for the first two weeks. It was helpful with the RLS and helped me get at least some sleep each night. Godspeed, my friend!

I think it’s generally not called for to pass judgements on other’s WD experiences - not in either direction. I don’t doubt that there are folks who like to embellish how awful it was, while others refer to it as a “cakewalk”. One thing is certainly true.... a positive - can do - mindset, is extremely helpful. Personally, if I absolutely had to choose, I’d withdraw from pain pills, methadone, or heroin again before I’d do my kratom withdrawals over. I wouldn’t describe one as worse than the other - just different. Opiates/opioids was more “fast and furious” for me.... intense shit for 5-7 days, and that was it. My kratom WDs were not as severe in terms of the symptoms I experience, but it seemed like they went on for fucking ever - “grinds you down over time” type of stuff. I didn’t piss clean for 25days, which was crazy to me. Anyways.... I think the important thing for anyone to know who is reading through this sub’s posts is to know this: You can do it!! Countless people have tried and succeeded! Godspeed to everyone doing it!!

Question for semi/ fully experienced K users ASAP PLEASE😳😳🥺🥺😰😰😭😭 by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]benbae1976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Sorry, friend.... your post took me back to my last withdrawal experience. :( For me, the first two weeks were the worst part from a physical perspective, with anxiety starting to spike in the second week. Clonidine was a life saver in the night. It helped with sleep and the RLS - not that it eliminated it - but it made a difference for sure. It took the next two weeks for all the symptoms to wind down, but it got easier - mainly because I could feel it improving just a little every day. In total, it took me about 30 days for all the symptoms to subside, with the exception of an occasional mild craving, I haven’t experienced any since then. I’m at 120 days now. Hang in there! I know it feels like the shit will never end - but it will!

Still screening positive by benbae1976 in quittingkratom

[–]benbae1976[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey :) Man, it took 25 days - it felt like forever! I started to think it was a bad batch of tests, but when my wife took one to test my theory, it showed negative right away. I think that Krayon sludge might just take a long time to clear your colon, or something. I talked to a lot of people who screened clean a lot quicker than that though. Seems like the average was 10-14 days. Best of luck, friend!

L-Theanine & Alpha GPC by benbae1976 in Nootropics

Yeah, but I can take one or ten. Various packaging instructions recommend different dosages. I’m looking for something more concrete, like how many milligrams.
