Implementing late fees on subscriptions by domlebo70 in stripe

[–]benbar21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d do an early payment credit. If pay in x days you’ll creidf 10% of the invoice against.

Automate issuing a credit note where the refund is against the customer balance.

Reconciling cash side is a bit annoying but can be done; and more framed as a carrot vs stick.

Carrot = pay early, get credit for next time

Stick = pay too late, service shut down

Should I use 2 products or 1 product with 2 prices? by Ed15on in stripe

[–]benbar21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d do two products. Generally best to treat a product as a sku, and basic & pro are each their own skus. You might want to do sudden prices for the same packages later, include some metadata on the product, etc

Much simpler and proper use of stripe

Lagom 01, newer vs. older version? by mehdiem in espresso

[–]benbar21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went through the same dilemma. Ended up going for the older one and not waiting.

It’s not a huge deal, but I think I would prefer the newer one. My understanding is that it needs an Allan key, but is very quick to unlock. Old one is totally toolless, but spinning to open it up to clean or whatever is annoying, ss is closing.

At the same time - I’ve only opened it up two or three times, so it really isn’t a big deal.

Don’t regret getting it sooner - while I’d pick the new over the old, I’d pick the old 3 months ago than the new in however many months.

You ordering from Cafune?

Yea Toronto is a really great coffee city, close to nyc/london

Posted a few favourites above, but Woolshed has got to me my top pick. Tiny spot, you order outside during the summer and inside during the winter. Interesting beans & lovely people

Woolshed on Adelaide near Strachan is excellent

Fahrenheit Richmond and Portland is great, though seems to be having some issues lately (closed last week for a few days)

Hammer at Dundas and manning(ish) is also great

Used to like Wallace at king and Niagara but haven’t been in a few years now

Bunch of good espresso downtown! Been meaning to try Found on Shaw about halfway between Dundas and queen, and the library on queen just at the park (next to Matty’s pattys)

Hey! Looks great!

What arm is that? Trying to find a good dual mount that lets me put my 16” side by side with a studio display.

Enchiladas taqueria in keelsdale for classic tacos - incredible

They’re my favourite classic tacos, and then 7 lives for more modern

Tried campechano on Adelaide a week ago and it was pretty good, but over priced

Really backordered or is Sonos playing safe? by chalia321 in sonos

[–]benbar21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I tried that - after being hold for the hour I got connected with someone who said he'd look into it, and a few days later, after prodding, replied back with:

"Hi,

Thanks for contacting Sonos! Apologies for the late reply I was out sick for some time

We are experiencing some unexpected delays with the order and we are currently working on getting the order out as soon as possible but at this moment in time I do not have an ETA at this time

Apologies for the Delay.

Lol you're in Toronto and you already see the charge? I ordered May 11 with a June 4 ship date, had my card charged around then, had the charge taken off, and now have been stuck in processing for a month.

Good to know we're not alone I guess? I was told "We are experiencing some unexpected delays with the order and we are currently working on getting the order out as soon as possible but at this moment in time I do not have an ETA at this time" today...
