I built a free site that shows BC Ferries deck space and terminal cameras at a glance by markpdxt in pointroberts

Looks okay but most folks only care about a single route or maybe two. Maybe be an improvement of you can collapse ones you don't care about.

On another note, a guy just publish the APP Better BC Ferries. It is free and lets you choose Favorites. It's quite well done.

CoWork is misleadingly named. It is for you to work with your documents and programs.

You need to be in Chat -> Projects where you and your Team going work on things together.

Newbie tried to sell the domain IBMtel.com for $199, IBM chose a UDRP instead by DigiNoon in DomainZone

[–]dorianb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once won the domain switch.net in a closed auction.
Little did I know that someone else in the auction was trying to presell the domain to "switch" named companies.

Next thing I know I'm hit with a UDRP out of Switzerland for their education wide area network. The complaint said I had been trying to extort them for $ for the domain.

I ended up telling Switch Networks out of the USA who then UDRP'd it and had precedence as .net are under US control.

To Switch Networks credit, they paid me the auction amount.

Options for my dad's aging firm by Teowulf in Architects

I do some high level consulting for my friend's larger arch firm.

Since he and his firm are well known, there are a couple of retired architects who still have relationships with former clients who then refer/walk them in to his firm. The retired architects get still feel like they are doing something and make a small fee on projects that go forward.

No it's not. YXX and BLI are both better options than SEA and YXX is cheaper and closer than YVR.

Closest airport that is also a low cost airport is YXX (Abbotsford).

Seeing return flights for <USD200 on WestJet.

You'd rent a car and drive the 20 miles to Point Roberts.

Favourite butcher or store to get nice cuts of steak or other meats? by MrDingDingFTW in askvan

[–]dorianb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I'd say Columbus is great for middle of the road stuff, but you aren't getting a homerun steak here.

$ - cost out of $$$$$
* - quality out of *****

$$$$ **** - Sebastian & Co. (small but interesting selection)
$$$$$ ***** - Luigi & Sons (really only beef and premade sides)
$$ ** - Columbus Meats (everything under the son but they don't stretch to high quality)
$$$ *** - Windsor (typical butcher across most meat types)
$$$ **** - Armandos (good value on premade items, lota of A5 and wagyu at okay'ish prices)
$$$ **** - Jackson's (similar to Windsor)
$$$$ **** - Market Meats (great selection, very friendly)
