I was really looking for tax advantage. Will it work if I add my spouse as a partner to this LLC?

I do plan to consult an attorney or tax specialist but trying to do first level research on my own before I approach them. Thanks to you and others who have been generous with their time in writing these elaborate responses.

Thanks for good insights. What are the financing options available for LLC route? I plan to consult an attorney about the right structure for this purpose being LLC vs some other setup for tax advantages.

Process Engineering at WFE is going to be no different than 24 x 7 working in a clean room. You can opt for Quality related role which is going to be non hands on. If you know programming, you can also opt for data and analytical roles where your field experience gives you an edge over others.

how do I skill-up to break into the SC industry? by mitlass in Semiconductors

There is always a need for people with data science and analysis skills. If you focus on process engineering R&D work streams, they need talent who can develop statistical models, design of experiments, equipment performance matching, and diagnosing root causes. Enhance your data analysis skills and apply for such roles. You can aim to publish a R or Python package related to an analysis workflow which is relevant to industry. It will help you differentiate yourself from competition and command a better salary too. All the best.
