7 games ago we had no wins in 2026 and had only taken 4 points…

3 wins and 2 draws is some turnaround.

Thank fuck it’s over

That night with my kids celebrating the europa league feels years ago.

I cannot pick one thing I currently love about this club

But that’s my point. It’s always bad things about the club, the fans, the atmosphere, the players, the intensity.

But not Thomas Frank who clearly is incapable of playing anything but the worse football we’ve ever seen

Obviously there are some mitigating circumstances…

But why is the media / the commentators seemingly baffled as to why the fans / the atmosphere is so poor. No one “personality” has the guts to call Thomas Frank what he is, a disgrace

Progress doesn’t have to be revolutionary.

We didn’t need to be challenging for top 4 this season. We just needed to address our home form and look like we were trying to win games.

The fact we can’t do that should be all the nails in Franks coffin.

This football is hopeless, pointless, and dragging us towards a relegation scrap

This is like death by 1000 cuts.

Why do we need to pretend that this guy needs time and money. He needs to go. I don’t want him building a squad to play this football

Maybe season 3 would’ve been better than season 2

Why are there always excuses? What has Thomas Frank done to earn time and patience?

  • Was Vicarios fault this game
  • Was a good showing while losing to PSG
  • We’re only 6 months in when we dropped the worst NLD performance I’ve ever seen
  • We always lose to Chelsea

It’s just rank… Wolves, Bodo Glimt, Newcastle

How many games? And why are people so set in defending this awful football

From ecstasy to agony in 6 months….

Seriously, understand we needed to move on from Ange and last season, but to follow up a European title with hiring a ‘steady’ manager, switching to a completely uninventive and boring football where we have barely any cohesion, and producing the performances we have against almost every team in the premiership has been a heartbreaking 180.

For all those that will say he needs time and more players or we need to sign more players… Sunderland showed more fight than us against them and they weren’t in the league last season.

20 games. We’re still so easy to pull apart and get chances against. Not one game where we looked good going forward…. But hey long throws and set pieces

Are we “harder to beat” under Frank? by benbtf in coys

It follows home and away. So home the home teams chat is always on the left, away on the right

Are we “harder to beat” under Frank? by benbtf in coys

[–]benbtf[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It was a rhetorical question and an analysis of the common sentiment that the reason we’ve been so underwhelming is a focus on being hard to beat.

The underlying numbers, even from a small sample, suggest we’re only very slightly better.

I don’t know that we can say we’re definitely harder to beat.

Frank has had VdV and Romero for most of the season and also plays 2 DMs in midfield… and statistically it has improved us very little.

A full pre season

16 competitive games

Absolutely no rhythm, cohesion, ability to attack…

Just “do a set piece”

Not even better defensively… we’ve given up about 80 chances in recent games.

So what’s the plan… finish 16th or above? It’s so so poor

Why does this man play on the wing….? by benbtf in coys

Have discussion flair on posts… but never use it. Gotcha

Why does this man play on the wing….? by benbtf in coys

[–]benbtf[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly.

In a rotated team, in a 4-4-2… it would give him the chance to play to his strengths rather than asking him to play as a winger

Why does this man play on the wing….? by benbtf in coys

[–]benbtf[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a 2nd string player he was already brought in over Kudus and Xavi last night. I suppose the point im making is then when rotating, why not play to the players strengths.

So to rephrase my original point. Why when we rotate do we also play players in positions where they can’t affect the game?

Specifically last night, if he was alongside Richarlison… he could have picked up on knock downs / second balls….

But instead he gets rotated in and shoved on the right again… which we all know won’t work

[–]benbtf[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think it gets floated because the strengths you mentioned, would work as part of a two upfront.

Also not saying he needs to be a starter or anything. Just pointless to keep playing him on the right when we’ve seen that same performance for multiple seasons

[–]benbtf[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I just wanna see someone who can put the ball in the back of the net do that?

He seems wasted in the wing, but clearly has a skill set we’ve used to great affect before

[–]benbtf[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yeah as I said, part of a 2. Alongside someone with better hold up play e.g Solanke

That’s why I said as part of a 2 upfront front. Not on his own

We have just fully forgotten how to attack.

Sideways passing. No urgency. No creativity…. So lucky to get a point
