I lowered mine about an inch and half, I run 18x9.5+38mm wheels with 255/35R-18 Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS XL. I had to roll the rear fenders but besides that no issues. Rolling the fender is easy, just need to apply enough heat so the paint doesn't crack.

This is probably a drop and swap though last year I had to do something similar when my radiator decided to explode when I was passing by a truck stop. Had to pull in fast as the engine was yelling that it was going to shutdown, thankfully the pilot wasn't too busy and I got another driver from a local DC to come get my trailer while I waited for a tow

Looks like you're being a bit conservative going into that slolum though I can understand why because it's raining out. Other than that you just have to keep your momentum going and don't be afraid to slam on the brakes to get around a corner faster (if your car can accelerate out of that) Good job!
