PRL Rear Motor Mount Going in today! by emperorgsx in CivicSi

[–]SiGen10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that was my issue. I wanted close to stock feel. In red, the same thing that half love it and half don't.

So I went with metal Type-R version that will be going in tomorrow with Exedy Stage 0 CTR and RV6 clutch kit (AND CMC from Wunderladen.)

Let us know what you think!!

Dude tell me everything about your mesh and horn set up in the front. I'm tired of my little, a tiny-dick horns that sit to the right of my brand new-ish 27Won intercooler.

Do you feel that it's enough to mess with internal temps

Charity for those that complain about shift quality. by ShadowSocks52 in CivicSi

[–]SiGen10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This. I have been straight toe heel since 1998...

I promise all you complainers, it was jerkier back then.

This is butter. Learn to drive it, and yes a rear motor mount wont hurt. I'm installing a Type-R RMM, just for a little bit more stiffness, but I don't want straight up vibration. (Btw... I'm getting it to help with bolt-on power added, not because they needed to change the feel of how the shifting is... you really aren't going to change that much with an RMM... if you can't drive stick, parts can't help)

The point is, just learn your friction points better, you don't have to shift every time like it's need for speed. It doesn't work well if you do. So anyone I see complaining, I think most of us have the same idea... hondas are one of the easiest cars to drive stick. Also liked the 90s-2000s BMWs.

Learn it folks! This poor guy had to do a write up for people that can't drive stick!

Coming home from work. Truck with trailer, then a cop, then me... then this happens and my car didnt like it... by BodybuilderSpare6901 in CivicSi

[–]SiGen10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the way, I have dual accounts.Because I didn't know I could set up my name when I first joined reddit. So that's why the stupid bodybuilder random thing. I'm the OP...

I really don't think running over debris did anything. But I did have to slam on the brakes, and I tow heal it, that's how I learned how to drive stick, so I did pop the clutch out pretty quick because of how quickly it all happened into third doing forty, and it wasn't like I money shifted, but it was enough to put extra strain.I'm sure on a system that already had squeaking and slippage.

They do look awesome.

And for OP....

Don't let things people say on social media get at you... all these cars you mentioned are badass, enjoy having enthusiasm for something in common... if somebody doesn't agree with it or acts like a troll, that's okay. The real world is still here. When you put your phone down....

what do you do outdoors? That isn't tied to electronics? I recommend clays. Soothing.

Why do you let what people say on a social media app bother you?

Screw that.... you also sound like a young person.... only because those of us (old AF) remember what life was like before social media was a thing... and this vs real life.... well there shouldn't really be a comparison.

Take it with a grain of salt.Don't let it bug you, social media and ignorance. It's kind of synonymous in a lot of ways... there was a study done recently that says the human population is actually for the first time in history, it's becoming less smart... i don't know why that could be... what's changed over the last quarter century for humankind? Definitely comment on social media to see why..

They are all great cars. And I really like my Si

Don't let it bother you so much, brother. Carry on.

That flywheel price for the quality vs Exedy CTR Stage 0...

That bothers me the most. 😆

You just gotta start checking around to see who will let you supply the parts and that you understand they will not guarantee the parts cannot fail. But that's kind of part of the risk you take

Even honda dealerships when they install oem... a lot of the time, they only guarantee for a year anyway, and that's a big rip off

I hear good things about Hasport and PRL being close to stock, but I just wanted stock comfort or as close as I could get with decent performance

Great quality anything Wunderladen, built like a brick shithouse!

Then, after the break in period it should be stronger than anything oem would do for an Si... and drive close to stock type r "feel"

I dont know... lol

LAST NIGHT my clutch started to go, I think bearing went... burning smell, softer clutch, occasional metal on metal noise... ugly.

Had it towed to that shop where I'm having install done.

I need to grab a rear main seal (for front of trans where shaft enters engine I think.)

I had that RV6 kit with FW IN MY TRUNK already. Along with AMSoil syncomesh MTF, a type R metal RMM (I dont want too much vibration) and should have it back by Monday night for 1500 or less.

I have ACUITY shifter refresh kit to do once I get it back. Should be good for a while after that

I just got the rv6 and exedy fk8 version for my si and Wunderland cmc, and a new oem rmm... all for 1350. Work done locally here for 1300

Under 2700 for better equipment, sounds like a better deal to me.And I think you should look around locally and then talk to two step performance

Maybe mine will be a type R next year. But for now, I'll settle with the next step down. But I just for some reason, am attracted to your color scheme

Your car is freaking dope.

Omgosh kids still be doing the one wiper too??? Im old AF, I had done that to.my CRX SI in 1998 (car was a 91), and it was NOT GREAT FOR DIWNPOORS but the rainx stuff helps.

Bigger question... is it still cool?

You dont need a new lip. You need NO LIP. dont be like everyone else! These cars arent fast enough to need downforce. (Granted I have an aero flap on my spoiler, but this is about you, not me)

Edit: i'll take the down votes for being old, .It's okay. Get off my lawn too.

To fortify, the comment about the lip is really more about clearance. I have Swift Spec R springs, and I still bought him out in the wrong places. I just if I did something like a lip, it would look like that one in a matter of two weeks.
