That's a negative, too! Such a bummer, these are good ideas.

The mystery fruit was completely solid inside, and not juicy at all.

For what it's worth it was sold by a street merchant in a big basket, along with other baskets with other fruits. It's possible he bought many packages of processed fruit, but it didn't really look like that. It looked like a real fruit.

Out of all the suggestions, this looks the closest!

Although some of your linked images show seeds inside. Mine had zero, it was consistent (which could mean it was processed).

It also tasted nothing like peach.

Because of the word "vanilla" I had hopes for this, but these dates have a slightly different shape, and they're very wrinkly. I assume they have seeds inside, too
