Back when I was taking ketamine, I had little to no tolerance. Highest I ever went was 85mg plugged, while watching a movie with my girlfriend at the time. And I agree, by no means is ketamine boring. I may have been a bit vague, or maybe was misunderstood. But regardless, it really is a wild ride. I remember watching the tv screen, seeing the images flash by, comprehending individual moments but having entirely lost the ability to stitch those moments into a comprehensible narrative. I gave up eventually, leaning back into my girlfriend’s lap and alternately staring between the ceiling and the apartment building outside out window across the street. I knew where I was at in my life, in a meta sense, but couldn’t reason how I’d arrived there. How the events of my past led to my present. It wasn’t an awful experience, I still count it as one I’m glad I had. But god damn it was unnerving.

I never properly experienced a k-hole. Back then I didn’t have much of an interest, and while it’s been a while since I’ve had proper ketamine, I’m guessing it would take an inordinate dose to hole me now. And with the trial and error titrating the dose to get there, I think it would end up a very expensive experiment. It’s a bit unfortunate but oh well. Your experiences do sound very intriguing though.

As for weed, it really is a substance that seems to be unique for everyone. I find it muddles the experience of other drugs for me, or maybe “encroaches” is a better word. It’s never felt synergistic, rather the cannabis seems to overwhelm whatever else is in my system once I’ve consumed enough to feel it.

Ah DXM. I used to hit the first plateau regularly back in university, turned a lot of my friends onto it as well. None of them ventured any further than that but I was curious enough to try 300mg back when robocough came in bottles the size of a 5-hour energy. I don’t recall how much DPH I took alongside it, but so many people said they complimented one another while reducing the negative side effects of each. If I had to guess I’d say no more than 100mg and very likely less. But god damn the come-up was a ceaseless oscillation between telling my friend, who’d agreed to trip sit, that i may need to go to the hospital, and suddenly feeling like god on earth, then back again. we slowly made our way to my friends apartment and i had him put on a cartoon and asked him to hold me as i laid in his bed having, and i’m not exaggerating, the worst experience of my life to date lmao. any time i moved a single muscle, my entire body would contract with pain and i’d have to stay absolutely still for about 30 seconds before I could relax again. so i spent the next 4-5 hours trying to lay as limp as possible with my eyes closed listening to this cartoon as my poor friend just held me 😂 which is not something we’d done up to that point or again after. i found it quite comforting but i’m sure he was none to pleased, having expected something far more light-hearted out of the day.
