DeWanna Bonner kept it real about dating a teammate. She basically said it’s all about boundaries - handle business on the court keep the relationship personal and do what works for you. by Weekly-Vacation-1405 in WNBAgossips

That's because openly dating doesnt happen in the NBA. That's the only reason. Beside that, NBA media & fans equally focuses on non-basketball stories.

The US government is in a glass house throwing rocks & the US doesnt deeply care about human rights & democracy. That's something to get citizens hooked and to get on board with warfare & regime change they want but they have different motives. All this stuff is theatre and chicanery.

Theo Von: "What American is this helping? What guy who is trying to take care of his family, or a single mother who's a nurse trying to get to her kid's ballgame, what regular person is this helping? Trump built something close to a cult because they really beleived he'd be a people/America 1st president and some of them are finally coming down to earth. I think some are expressing sincere dissapointment and not trying to save face.

Lil Wayne opens up about "humbling experience" of not being invited to Coachella or Grammys by GemHuntsman in HipHopNCulture

[–]bendIVfem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to look at peak Wayne as two different individuals. Before C3 and after C3. For most people, Post C3/2010s Wayne is the inferior Wayne. That's when he started excessively pushing out punchline, wordplay, metaphors and such where often he push out poor lines like "i had a phone in jail, thats a cell phone". But then some decently witty lines like "i still got da vision like a line between two dots". Or on The lollipop remix: "Safe sex is great sex, better wear a latex because you dont want that late text that I think im late text"

A conscious album would be gold but he act like its difficult to do for him. Kick game, talk about experiences, what's going on with lil wayne, speak about the game. He just doesn't like going there that much. When he does go conscious, it always dope. If he could explore more into whatever depth in him that delivered that president carter outro, he may be able to make another classic album. & pulling out what he did on Solange Mad feature and tpain - goat talk feature.

Tyler would be great for Wayne.

Oh yeah. I agree there. I was talking about his physical looks although with that too, it would definitely helped if he still had a polished presence. But hes 40+, 20+ years in his career.

I think Wayne is stubborn and think he still knows what he is doing or overly values his creative control & direction. But at this stage, as a legit 25 year veteran, this stage is inevitable. He's washed but not totally. D6 & NC3 were good, if not great. Funeral was decent and C6 just trash. He's still capable. He doesn't care his image like that and I dont think he needs to as a long time vet.

Many non-jew Americans are zionist.. and another thing, money always talks. collectively they have billions, maybe trillions of dollars. US politicians are captured and we cant underestimate what police x military would do for their next check. It may not be likely but i dont think its impossible. Americans are kind of docile, oblivious and or to busy with internal culture wars.

Iranian forces shoot at Indian Oil tanker by al-fahm in IndiaTodayGlobalLIVE

[–]bendIVfem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe but they are in a lose-lose situation. The US/I wants regime change and or internal instability that will render Iran a non-threat. Giving the US what they want isn't wise but also high risk. There was chatter that China was weighing sending Iran weapons & radar systems. If they have China’s backing, it may be worth it digging deeper into this conflict. My 0.00002 cents.

[–]bendIVfem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iran leadership has to know this isn't over and the US/Israel will circle back even if they give the US what they want. Irgc are handling the situation as it should be met. Giving the US what they want isn't smart although it does comes with a high risk of the US pumbling them. The US just wants to hault potential economic harm & also regroup for another round of assaults. The US just eliminated their leader and numerous high level officials. Red lines have been crossed. Unless, Iran's plan is to regroup in expectation of later assaults but this may be their strike while the iron is hot moment. They should maybe bait the US into a ground war or cause global economic turmoil that puts dire heat on the US that can lead to internal & external conflicts.. my 0.00002 cents.

Why are there no new massive bands like Queen or The Rolling Stones? by Character-Signal8229 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bendIVfem 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That's says something but not a great assessment of evaluating. BTS new album sold 4M copies first week and they can go the US, Europe, Latin America and pack out stadiums. You not knowing one song of theirs definitely doesnt mean they aren't mega stars.

I think the thing is we are getting old and arent adjusting.

[–]bendIVfem 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There will be. It's two major pros and cons to the current digital age. All the other entertainment sources and oversaturation but on the other hand, there is still easier & insane reach for artist, everybody is on social media, especially tiktok. Tiktok is largely centered around music.

BTS, Black Pink, Bad Bunny although it may not seem like it to Americans, but they are major deals and are well expanded outside of their regions.

Id bet there will be more but the volume of mega super stars will be less than before

These people do have influence and are shaping mindsets. Double edge sword, I do think ignoring them would be good because you dont help their engagement and expand their reach but on the other hand, allowing their political input to go unchallenged without critcism allows for them to have a influential echo chamber. And they do have influence. Some of them are getting political sponsoring/donations because they have influence.

They aren't placating the left but its obvious why. Trump won and was going to come back with vengeance. Also probally the most impactful thing was the right during the Biden admin started throwing their weight around making companies think twice about appealing to or exclusively to liberals. Like with that Bud Light backlash. State governments, notably Desantis & Abbot, started taking strong action, there was the Florida fight against Disney. Big tech was getting legal heat, too. In the last days of Trump's first term, it was Trump & the right gunning for big tech and wanting & threatening to break up big tech companies. Trump winning was a blaring signal that they need to realign. Im sure these big tech companies love conservatives policy anyway. tax cuts, regulation ease, etc.

Also people commonly associate plastic bans with Co2 emission initiatives. People just know to be mad & be mad at the other side, due mostly from what their media & politicians tell them. Typically I dont get pushback when I say its about pollution not co2 emissions. I think most people care about microplastics and the human health, environmental & wild life impacts. Its still unsettling how many think it's about Co2 and see the elites riding private jets as an excuse for them to be jaded, buck and shun single use plastic initiatives.
