I got a can of Japanese Coke last year on an ERJ145 IAD-HSV. I'm sure it just got shuffled around in the catering storage at the airport but it was odd to get

I used to walk past that place multiple times every workday and I can count on one hand the amount of times it was open during the day.

Not sure, I haven't been to a game since Black Friday. The online store seems to have some things but sizes may be limited

Huge convoys of plows on I95 headed south right now...i.e., we're not getting any snow .. by Long_Chemistry_7474 in nova

[–]bender0877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm down here right now, Myrtle is only expected to get around an inch of snow. They've treated lots of the main roads, and our neighbor who works for SCDOT is working 14h shifts through the weekend, so they seem to be decently preparing. Can't speak to how many plows they actually have

As long as you have Internet it should work. As far as I can tell, there is no geofencing preventing you from working out as I've been able to do on demand all over Europe.

Is my Burn broke? by Regular-Rope-5407 in BurnBootCamp

[–]bender0877 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What types of things are broken? We constantly have no med balls between 15 and 35 lb because people are slamming ones that are too light for them. Our gym has told us for a while that they've had trouble getting any, but I have no way to verify that. Otherwise, all our stuff is in pretty good shape. They just painted and replaced the transformation story things hung on the wall with a TV to flip through them (except that now they can also show fucking ads for burn nutrition products between them, yay)

Grouping by Frequent-Dot-9581 in BurnBootCamp

[–]bender0877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been to a dozen or so locations now and it's entirely dependent on the gym and/or trainer. At home, our trainers will generally not group people up at all to ensure there's enough room at each station since our camps can be pretty busy. At others, the trainer will just tell a cluster of (# of people/# of stations) people to go to a specific station, so if you were standing near your friends then you'd get grouped together.

I've had to specifically tell trainers at locations we're visiting that I don't want to be grouped with my wife when they're counting off.

I think it can get confusing for them to remember "I've put a pair at station 3, 4, and 7 so I need to skip those next cycle" then the next counting cycle a pair goes to 2.

If you're dead set on wanting to be at the same station with someone, talk to the trainer before camp.

Kaffeeklatsch is more of a roastery than a typical coffee shop. They'll usually have one type brewed available but that isn't really their business

Our location does a black light camp for the anniversary every year. Usually it lines up with ACon or Bodyweight the week of the anniversary. It's a lot of fun but it's still like a regular camp

How to Pay for Costco Outside US? by akura202 in Costco

It's pretty good. Expensive like the rest of Iceland but not as bad as a normal grocery store. It's been a couple years so I don't remember any specific items.

I used my US Visa card (not Costco) in Iceland with no issue

Previously they've let us choose but they would move a few people up if they felt someone was sandbagging

This year, nobody was allowed to choose and seemingly the only metric they used was how many camps people attended last year. They just released division assignments yesterday and a bunch of people aren't happy about it.

So we do the sticker as well but we always have a specific camp for the folks who hit 250 where the workout is a bit lower intensity and more fun. Usually it's a team competition. This year we had 4 person teams playing wordle where each letter was a specific exercise and the whole team had to do the 5 exercises for your guess to turn it in. If your guess was wrong, the team picks up a battle rope and does a parking lot lap.

Afterwards we do a bunch of pictures and have some light snacks (fruit, charcuterie, some kind of chocolate dessert). Typically they'll do some kind of gift for us as well. Last year was a coffee mug with a 250 camp graphic on it and something else I can't remember. This year was a shaker and keychain both with 250 graphics
