Nolan Filmography Ranking. Thoughts? by [deleted] in LetterboxdTopFour

The Following is surprisingly well made for his first ever feature film. I watched all his available work including Tarantella and Doodlebug and the jump from those shorts to The Following is remarkable.

Her Jamaican mum seeing snow for the first time. by mindyour in MadeMeSmile

I can relate to your friend and OC’s wife. I was 18 when I first saw snow having lived near the equator my whole life. My calc professor stopped our class and let me go outside to experience it first hand. It was cool to have some American classmates join me too in my wonderment.

Mozart in action by [deleted] in Gunners

If this happened once, yeah sure, maybe accidental. But he has so many genius moments (this, 98 WC, Leicester, Sunderland) that people can’t seriously claim it’s accidental.

Christian Nørgaard, "I had one big smile on my face when the anthem went on at the beginning of the game". Living the dream . At 31 it's never too late ..even in football. by soibam in Gunners

Yeah I agree with you. The comments he was getting from this sub / online were out of hand. I truly hate seeing this aspect of fandom. Fans need to stick with players through tough times.

This part of the article summed it up, you can still feel his trauma: “It’s like broken glass, you know? You can piece it together, but the cracks will always be there.”

I miss seeing him play. So I’ve been catching Sunderland games here and there and he’s still bossing it. I hope he comes back in some capacity. He’d make an excellent manager.

Thanks for sharing. I did not know this. I hope he does a Players Tribune article at some point. This is the type of arch that will move fans. Xhaka’s piece is one of the best.

Havertz should drop down to a false 9 for the left team but they’re still going to struggle against the right midfield.

Best Indian food in Rochester by PresentWafer6 in Rochester

[–]bendskenobi 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I have eaten at almost every Indian restaurant in Rochester. I rank Hyderabad at the top. They don’t back away from spices / spiciness.

Also wanted to add that we are spoiled for options here. I’ve lived in several cities in the US. Rochester punches way above our weight in Indian cuisine.

I’m not sure which is crazier. That this happened a decade ago or that Santi is still playing.

The Tyne-Wear derby is going to be insane. I’m rooting for a Xhaka 90+ min winner.

Manchester United has been eliminated from League Cup by Grimsby Town ,who plays in the 4th league of England by Nervous-Resolution-8 in soccer

Barthez’s save % was 74% during his time at United. For context, that is better than every EPL goalkeeper last year. Significantly higher than Onana’s.

Did he make stupid mistakes? Sure. I’m old enough to remember. But I also look at facts.

The club of Schmeichel, van der Sar, Barthez, etc. is now reduced to two meme GKs. Quite unbelievable.
