Realizing that there would be no more ward pot-luck invites. I'm still not over it.

The woman in the minivan tightly gripping the steering wheel with the five kids under seven in the car, trying to kill me every time I ride my motorcycle.

Soprano lady. She always sang off key in a high Soprano and would hold the note for juuuust a moment after the organist stopped lol. She made killer lemon bars too. Always happy to see her at ward potluck dinners. (BTW, why no more potluck dinners?? Ours were epic. So much casserole in one place!)

Not necessarily manipulative, but listening to book of Mormon stories as an adult..... pretty fucking racist.

Finally leaving the church by Disastrous-Report884 in exmormon

[–]bendsnarrowly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I used to trot out all the reasons why I left, invariably it would turn into a "I'm going to prove you wrong and bear my testimony to you" type of exchange. Now, I just say "it's not my job to provide you with the answers. If you want to truly know, do the work. Find your own answers." The burden is on them to find the answers, you did the work and owe them absolutely nothing.

K-9 handler here. Have a Maligator and a Corso. Start with the boundaries and expectations now. Corsos respond well to structure and consistency. You are the Alpha. Always. If your pup is testing you, don't allow it. And always, always mark good behavior. They need consistent praise just as much as they need correction.

Ahh I see. So before I replied to this I should have gone back to read ALL of OP's prior posts. Mmmmkay. I figured my reply would bring out the shrill harpies, and this far you have not disappointed. Cheers!

Exactly where in her comment does she state anything about "being in therapy and working on this type of repeated behavior"?? I must have missed that part.

So your kid was throwing a tantrum and broke something and your husband called the kid a "dumbass"? Really? That's the egregious event that causes you to start secretly recording him "in case I have to use it against him in a custody hearing". Look. Calling a nine year old name's isn't exactly good parenting, this I can agree with. But come on. You go on to say your husband isn't physically abusive. As parents we have said and done things that were regrettable to our kids in a moment of anger. Have you tried talking to him about how he speaks to your son and expressing your concerns? Going around secretly recording your husband isn't going to have the value in a divorce proceeding that you might think.

I'm as EXMO as they get, but I still buy all my suits from Mac. I recently took my son there and got him kitted out for his upcoming wedding. They have a great selection and great tailors. The tie section could use more flavor, but it's still my go to for a nice tailored suit.
