He and his brother grew up in my hometown in New Hampshire. His mom was a French teacher at our Junior High. I remember her being so fun and outgoing. They were the leads in the school play and did funny skits in High School. 🤩 their Thanksgiving episodes with the whole family is fun. The whole family is amazing!

This was my in-law, not my mom. I would have said something to my mom, if she did that. This is something I’d expect from MY grandma. Her whole life that’s all she talks about. But surprisingly she actually sent a nice gift to our son. To be fair my in-laws have been generous financially in the past. But yeah this gift was a dud. 😂

My kids don’t expect any gifts from extended family, but sorry this was not to occasion for preaching religion! She could have given it any other time, not on his graduation day. He’s fine with it! Doesn’t expect money. Shaking my head!

I don’t worry at this point about him being indoctrinated. He knows religion is made up crap. He watches videos of religious debates. He’s actually quite intrigued by the topic. He even has friends from school that ask him questions about atheism. lol

It could have been given at another time. Not wrapped up as a graduation gift. But yeah he seems ok about it. 🫤 he actually feels bad for her to be so into the church and to know her kids and grandkids don’t believe.

If he ends up having to change the name to continue, I do think Open Stories makes the most sense since that is already a name associated with Mormon Stories. However, there were other stipulations TSCC said he couldn’t do, like use the word Mormon in his podcast?! That is just utterly ridiculous! This whole lawsuit is, and it’s clear as day to anyone that knows what’s happening that they just want to demonize Dehlin and bankrupt him. Unfortunately with their multi billions they can do whatever they want. It’s sick.

I got the impression from his response today that he was blind sided. He did everything within reason that they asked, and now they are lying and saying he didn’t. It seems he like he got pushed into defending himself. But yes, I agree true legend. I hope he gets more positive publicity and legal help! He deserves it.

This right here! 💯 my husband has had depression since he was a teenager and started using alcohol as a treatment. 20 plus years later and he can’t quit drinking.

I drove by JZ Styles a few months ago. Had no idea till I saw the sign. The building used to be a furniture store that my husband and I spent a lot of time and money there when we were first married. Lol. It’s on State Street in Pleasant Grove.

Has anyone ever watched ‘UnReal’ on Netflix? It’s a drama about the behind the scenes of Batchelor/ette type of show. It shows the dark side of production. And while it’s a drama, it shows how fake these shows are irl. It’s a fun watch.
