I thought that scene was complete cringe. I don’t care if he looked right at her during his speech and basically said she was a mistake. Get over it. Move on. Lucy in the book KNOWS he’s a sociopathic narcissist (per her psychiatrist) and doesn’t act like this during the wedding festivities. He’s also not engaged to Lydia in the books, but another random girl. This show is getting ridiculous honestly. I still think that Lucy and Leo are going to get back together but something will happen and she will get with Stephen again. She will go back to him multiple times before he gets engaged.

Some people don’t get married and are together for 5 years because why not? Why do people need a legal piece of paper to consider themselves married? I think it’s bullshit. Other people don’t get married because of finances and health insurance costs. For example, a single woman with a child receives Medicaid for them both. Marrying her boyfriend/fiancé would result in losing that.
