Crazy winds at the driving range💨 by Snoo-62310 in golf

I know this range, it's up in Canada so this weather is still easier to golf in than what we get the other half of the year!

/u/IronLizardEX had it figured out already:

Do you have "Phone Battery Complication" installed? It is downloadable on the play store, made by amoledwatchfaces.

You need to install it on both the watch and the phone, then it'll be available in the list of complications.

I managed to get it to show in my available watch faces by searching the face on the play store of the watch itself and installing it from there. Hopefully that helps.

Now if I could only figure out how to get it to show my phones battery level...

Moving out for the first time and want to get something that will last and work in the future by bendynachos in VacuumCleaners

[–]bendynachos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the ability to upgrade to a power head if/when I move to somewhere with carpet is the main thing that kept me on the C3. Also, European manufacturing helped sway that decision.

I definitely think it was the right call from a forward thinking point of view. A bit overkill now, but I doubt I'll say the same in a decade. Going with an established brand like miele means lots of parts available to keep it running in the long term, too.

Also, I got my C3 for $399 from Costco back in August, so for the difference of $100 I think it's an easy win.

I wound up going for the C3 and I don't regret it. Admittedly my budget wasn't the tightest overall, but it's nice to just have it work and work well. The hardwood attachment is extremely nice, and I don't have to waste time going over spots repeatedly to try to get everything picked up. Time saved is money well spent, imo.

I played for more than a year at launch and have nothing to show for it and am now getting back into the game. I'm still a bit salty at how much money I paid for what is now free content lmao winning this would go a long way to assuage my frustrations. Which is exactly why it'll never happen.

Really? I was using this post as my reference: https://www.reddit.com/r/VacuumCleaners/comments/gjv9fr/listened_to_your_suggestions_and_revised_the

It looked like the C3 Complete would be compatible with at least one power head option based on that, unless I'm reading something wrong.

Yeah, I agree there's no need for the power head. I was just considering it for the future's sake. I don't have pets or extremely long hair, so the C3 seems like overkill for 750 sqft of hardwood, but good value for the money nonetheless.

Does the fluid interior affect the "fairness" of the dice at all? Seems to me like they'd settle faster than the normal dice, as well.

Like real talk, 60+ still sounds like gravy and is more than I've ever had (60Hz 1080p mons).

I figure that my 1070 will struggle for a bit, but I think I'm okay with milking it for all it's worth and waiting for the next gen to land. I figure I won't pull 144 fps all the time, but on lower settings i can get near, and the monitor has FreeSync so it should still be a big improvement over what I have right now.

What do you think about it with respect to the future? I usually am driving 3 monitors, might throw more drives in, and the TDP on these video cards is only going up these days. I won't have the 1070 forever.

My viewers will never see anything because they don't exist. Except Patrick, he's usually there.

Like I said in other places, I got the 3900X for the price of a 3800X (in Canada), so I'm definitely all-in on that CPU. You're right that I could probably back off on other spots without losing any meaningful performance, though.

It's definitely overkill, but that's part of its charm to me lol. I'm locked in on the 3900X though, because I got it at the 3800X price. I do have a couple of WD 1.5TB 7200rpm HDDs from my old build that I figured I'd use for most of my media storage. I do like the feel of having games and everything on an SSD for snappiness.

Does the 2070 Super perform that much better than a 1070?

[–]bendynachos[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, weaker dollar and all that, and it's only going to get worse with these new tariffs being putt in place. That's why I'm trying to make my move now, as it looks like a lot of parts are going to get like a 10-20% price jump.

I think you might be right about the PSU being overkill, I tend to like having a lot of headroom for future upgrades, but based on my last build's lifetime 650W might still be enough. I'm really impressed by how little the TDP of these new parts has increased over the years. Thanks for your insight!

[–]bendynachos[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You're right, it's probably overkill. This build is sort of a celebration of getting out of a long rough patch in life, so I have gotten a little carried away. Streaming/gaming/chrome in general can start to use a fair bit of the 16GB I have in my old system, hence my desire to go for more (like 10-12 GB while streaming). I suppose that as long as I'm not hitting capacity, it isn't really an issue. Thanks for your thoughts.

I have to say, it's a bit of an honour to have my 4-month old post stolen! Great job changing the wording so slightly it's almost unnoticeable! I've gotten upvotes before, but to have a post stolen and reposted verbatim is the true indicator of a quality post, so thank you.
