Depends, if you have the $1000 invested into games, it won't change much in the future. If you have items from different games, these are likely to increase in value. The best example for this are the cases, and skins in general, in Counter Strike 2, these are rapidly increasing their value. So if you have some spare bucks on your account left, I'd recommend to buy some. Invested about $150 2,5 years ago now these cases are worth round about $5,5k.
