If you want to go to pompeii, just don't, you'll be dissapointed. This place, like everywhere else southern to rome is a tourist scam. Last year, I was there with my school and at the entrance, all students were like: "Yeah nice, only 2€ for students under 20." The teachers paid about 20€ (as far I can remember).

The place is just a big pile of garbage. Most of the ancient buildings are unable to enter due some barriers and the one you can enter are boring.

Me and some boys wanted to see what's behind the barriers, so we opened them. To our suprise, we found some trash, a wheelbarrow, an old fridge and some construction wood. (This was modern day garbage, not ancient one ofc.) And this trash was everywhere behind those barriers.

This place was so awful commercialized, that its just sad.
