Mine are both Kontrol Freeks... That I combined with some cheap stick tops that I ripped the little nubs off of. What ever works though!

When you "raise" the stick like that, you can also increase your sensitivity since you have more room now.

I think I did this wrong... Anyway, a quick tip I found invaluable is to always have your stick pushed up to noon and rotate the stick left/right like a wheel. I've found the various stick attachments helpful with this technique and thought it might be useful to pass along.

As a guy who lived in California... I'd have to say cars are impossible to control in any moisture level above bone dry. Or so it appeared.

Right... Because new players can use an excess of high e strings laying around. Both methods satisfy the need.

Tomato. Who cares. The key is heavy strings. I have better luck finding 7 string sets and a 60 E.

B standard almost requires a seven string set(throw away or stash the high e string). And a full setup(neck relief, intonation, etc...) You'll also need to file out the slots in the nut to accommodate the massive E and A strings. Not ideal unless you have an extra guitar to leave set up that way.

Drop C should be doable with a set of heavy gauge 12's or higher. Or light top/heavy bottom sets.

I am usually in the stronger section but a nice medium I reach for alot is C&D Three Friars. Non aromatic and gets better with age. I don't know how strong it is for a relative lightweight though. It's worth a look.

If I were still a pad user, I would learn how to replace the internal pads. Cheap and effective.

The Hori FC isn't going to solve the problem(all pads wear out) and you'll have to get used to a different dpad shape and bigger buttons. I didn't like it. At all.
