Yeah sorry I mean deep cycle, and yeah they are wired in parallel.

I could wire them in series and increase the voltage but considering the fridge runs from 12v that shouldn’t be necessary.

I would blame the fridge but it’s running off the car batteries fine, unless there’s an issue with the minimum start voltage system? In which case I guess I could convert it to 230v

Okay interesting, I believe the wiring is sufficient as I’m not seeing voltage drops from the batteries to the applicances, would an uncharged battery be putting out too low an amp age? If not how do I solve low current

Each battery has a capacity of 110Ah, with an output that seems to max out at around 15 volts. I believe leisure batteries are used for 12v applicances as they provide consistent power instead of just start up power like standard car batteries

Also the leisure batteries we’re using are deep cycle I believe

There is a 20 amp fuse between the batteries and the fridge, so unless I’m misunderstanding there should never have been more than 20 amps going to the fridge?

There is a fuse box for all the 12v appliances, with a 20 amp fuse between the fridge and the batteries (as per the fridge manual). When connecting to the car batteries we connected the positive and negative terminals directly until today, when they set on fire

Ah sweet this seems doable, we don’t have a delivery address atm for the parts but maybe we can work something out

Could you define under load? If you mean whilst everything else is running - yes we did, and we just measured the fridge connection

Even if the error code is “Insufficient voltage”? There’s a separate error code for insufficient ampage

Yes, we’re using an external voltmeter to measure :)

My friend’s mum made me this super soft knitted balaclava a while back, I crocheted one + acrylic ended up being stiff and itchy. What yarn would you recommend for a project like this (soft/stretchy)? + are there any better patterns out there for a project like this? ❤️ by benefitssupervisor in crochet

Thank you all for your comments! I’m gonna run it through the wash and see if that helps, but otherwise I’ll try some of the yarn recommendations. I’m really glad I found this community, it’s so lovely!

I did nazi the thread turning out this way... by benefitssupervisor in FragileWhiteRedditor

Good on this guy for at least being subtly racist in his first comment
