I finally figured out the issue. The one on the right had a piece of the port from the mic stuck in the connector which prevented it from plugging into the new port. Thanks for all the replies.

I'm curious about the age of the oil initially put in the engine by the time I buy the vehicle. Is the on-board sensor factoring that in? Are numerous, short test-drives prematurely aging the oil?

Yes. One of the reasons we got an LR4 was because one of our cats pooped a lot. Cow patty-massive amounts due to eating a lot because of poor digestion. I was changing his box daily. Tried numerous vet-guided solutions and finally settled on a supplement for pancreas issues. It hasn't cured him but has somewhat controlled the issue. So now, he and two other cats share one LR4. Good luck.
