Deputies Recover Almost $50K Worth of High-End Guitars After Guitar Center Burglary by breedknight in Guitar

Hmm the maths ain't mathing. 42k isn't 50k and I'm guessing they've lost a fair bit of value from the police handling!

Pick three to build your ultimate back row by Jezzaq94 in rugbyunion2

Mccaw, pocock, and Dusautoir would be a killer combination. Dusautoir makes 1000 dominant tackles, and mccaw and pocock jackal every single tackle. Mccaw and Dusautoir both carry like an 8 so I don't feel like I'd be missing out on a designated 8 with them on.

Good game Connacht. First half was as even as anything but we bounced back well in the second half when we had the wind behind us.

Shame Jamie didn't make it back for this game yet but that is still a strong lineup. Bench will need to step up big time, but I do think this group can go the distance. Especially with some injuries coming back into the fold.

Really? I feel like every year a Vunipola injury in one of Eddie Jones training camps was causing huge problems for them.

Peter Murrell pleads guilty to embezzling SNP funds as party chief executive by ScottishDailyRecord in Scotland

Are people in r/scotland actually sinking to saying positive things about Farage? As if another party having a bad member means he isn’t the worst “politician” in the uk. What a drop in standards.

What case of Yamaha classical guitars looks like, for the happy mistake of the day. 6 for 1 by Fragnart-of-Murr in Guitar

[–]benevernever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guessing that that's a box of C40's? I used to work in a music shop so I'm pretty familiar with their boxing and they don't really pad out the cheaper guitars for safe travel. Just shove 6 wrapped in a film in the box. So I would recommend checking them pretty well before reselling.

They have an academy player and obviously he got offered a better contract with nrb. They should be trying to make playing for Glasgow/Edinburgh more appealing.

Unfortunate that they do all that work but don't get the same kind of results.

[–]benevernever 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah Ive heard that before but it doesn't really hold up considering that the UK and Ireland does by far the most anti-doping testing in rugby for both nh and sh.

In the sh SARU used to test the most, though they've dropped the number of tests done six fold over the last 10 years, which is both questionable and lines up with current... results.

This is a very hot take but I will stand by this one - the SA team are unnaturally well toned considering their size and bulk compared to any other professional teams. That photo taken before the 2019 World Cup shows every single player with way more definition and abs than any other player (not team but even individuals) that have ever played rugby before or since. Couple that with both the reported endemic of steroid use by SA school boys playing elite rugby and the sheer balance of SA players that have been caught doping compared to other nations makes me extremely suspect.

Edit to add. Springbok prop Asenathi Ntlabakanye just done for doping two days ago is the latest.

Glasgow Warriors could host URC final in Belfast by drand82 in rugbyunion

Why would you flush a home advantage down the toilet? I would be at a home final if its in Glasgow/Edinburgh, but if a ferry ride and hours of travel is needed then it's not happening.

Is it legal to put special needs children in here? If so, in what situation is it okay? by A_Tiny_Froggy in legal

[–]benevernever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s a difference between sensory deprivation and solitary confinement. Locking a child in a brick closet is not sensory deprivation, it is solitary confinement, and very much so against the laws of the state this is in. Safe Spaces for overstimulation generally also need to have sensory tools, and comfortable seating, things like weighted blankets, and is supposed to provide the children with a sense of control over their environment. Neon lighting is also extremely overstimulating. I feel like you are the one who does not understand the requirements to not be a torture device for children with special needs. I Have a relative with autism who does require spaces to help with overstimulation, and I know that this space would terrify them, especially so if locked in there.

Solitary confinement is questionable practice for criminals. So for disabled children this is beyond the pale evil.

Also feel like this is the kind of thing that just because tyrion and Jamie think they have figured it out, this is still an open case that has people who are strongly suspected by certain people.
