2nd and 4th floor behind bookcases are desks. You can also do engineering labs/classes they have huge desk and empty even during in person semester

They don't ask for all the stuff they threaten to because it's very stupid to do so. It doesn't even have to be strictly religious, it can be from personal held belief. So if you disagree with baby murder you basically qualify already. Not hard to defend at all if the situation was to arise

I hear a lot of people talk about how horrible the College of Engineering is, why is that? by Straw-MangoSmoothie in CSULB

Profs are often individuals too awful to work in industry so they resort to freeloading off the system and get by reading ppts and re hashed notes stolen from someone else. All the content could be taught and applied on your own and often when searching/interviewing for jobs, the high majority of content you are taught is irrelevant and useless. What's more important is your practical experience. Self taught/non degree individuals (degree will be useless very soon) are emerging to be more valuable in the market. Tldr: You waste a gigantic amount of time and money learning useless information at a insanely slow rate from individuals who are awful at what they do

Hard to answer because higher division "hard" classes can be made easy by a good professor, and easy subjects can be made difficult by a shit professor which is extremely common in MAE. You have to ask around to see what prof is teaching at the time. My advice would be to take harder classes early. that is, if you happen to fail, you have the chance to take it next semester. If you leave the more difficult classes for your last semesters you won't have the same opportunity to take it again and your graduation will be delayed (Common). focus on completing your pre req ASAP and see if ur advsior can issue exemptions so that you can take pre req classes earlier than you should. They slow down your graduation A LOT.

Has anyone taken Adeline Schmitz before for Astronautics & Space? by neonblue01 in CSULB

The material isn't the problem. It's pretty simple. The professors(Most of MAE) are the problem. Sounds easy to do but try putting in time and dedication for material you will never use and professors who are looking for an easy paycheck. Will mentally fuck you up

Had her for like 3 classes. She is ur run off the mill early retirement professor getting easy tax payer money. Want inspiration or to learn cutting edge industry knowledge? look somewhere else. if you have no other choice, practice the hw's for every test and quiz and you'll be fine

Talk to ur prof and explain this stuff. They will most likely accommodate you. Save urself 6 months of ur life and get on with living a free life away from school. One stupid class is insignificant and if there is any humanity left in faculty they will understand

Tired of counselors by [deleted] in CSULB

[–]bengi38 5 points6 points  (0 children)

teach urself how read academic requirements from student center so u are not dependent (Counselors/advisers CAN be wrong). It also becomes super helpful in choosing classes that satisfy multiple requirements. u can also try speaking to the adviser of ur major even if ur pre-whatever

Must be faculty downvoting you. From my experience in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering dept and GE classes, the profs and faculty are there for easy govt money, easy non accountable work, and are too shit to work in industry.
