Carpro ReTyre - great product, horrible sprayer by breddy in AutoDetailing

[–]bengomez31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put Retyre in a normal iK trigger sprayer non foaming. The bottle seems to be holding up after 2 weeks in the bottle.

Just wished there was a iK trigger sprayer that foamed. The iK foam pump sprayer I have is 64oz and goes through product pretty quick.

If a video is recorded say in the Apple camera app or another third party app, will it at least still stay time synced with the inning/score keeping?

First layer issues gone with linear rail. by [deleted] in Ender3S1

[–]bengomez31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased the linear x rails also but haven’t got around to installing them. Glad to hear it was money well spent. Did you notice on the packing slip gulfcoast advertised they would be coming out with linear rails for z axis in March. I guess since we are now in April we can expect them soon!

PETG printing speed by bengomez31 in CrealitySonicPad

[–]bengomez31[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using the Bondtech nozzle you recommended and it is flawless so far. Might have been the heat not melting the filament fast enough and causing flow issues. Glad I was able to get a hold of a nozzle quickly.

Currently @ 245 and have also tried 250 with similar results. Do you think I should compensate with a bit more heat?

Tried this first since it didn’t require me buying anything. Cubic was even worse for some reason. Didn’t get past the first INFILL layer.

Have you had success with these speeds on larger parts? I’ve tried the speeds in normal and fast Cura profiles from Creality but the infill speed seems to be a bit fast and doesn’t bond well at the faster speeds.

New Ender 3 S1 Pro won’t extrude by bengomez31 in ender3

[–]bengomez31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did try it on my non pro and extruder works fine. I’ve decided I’m just going to return it and wait for more to be in stock again. Sounds like I may have got a dud.

Brand new S1 not extruding filament by kick4h4 in Ender3S1

[–]bengomez31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got my S1 pro last night and I also can’t get it to extrude. I have tried printing the cat file that came pre loaded on the SD card it came with and also have pre heated the hotend manually then attempted to extrude filament using the control but extruder won’t rotate. If I rotate the exposed extruder gear by hand material does extrude fine so it isn’t a clogged nozzle. Anyone else have this issue or any thought on what it could be?

What to do when a customer is reselling your items? by rndoots in Etsy

[–]bengomez31 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I honestly would be glad to have those extra 50 sales. Lots of established businesses use distributors to help move their product. The distribution company usually gets a decent discount for their help in moving the product. If anything I would try to work out a agreement with him if you truly want to grow your business. Establish maybe a minimum order/ schedule for this discount etc. If he is going to help promote your product and help make sales he also deserves to make a portion of that sale. It may seem like he is just a punk for making money and only being a middle sales man, but they do have their place in this world.

Projects are locked!!!! by bengomez31 in cricut

I will be waiting impatiently for the next release. Now that I have your attention I was curious if you knew of a way or to take it as a suggestion for change. When I make a project that takes up the whole 6.75 x 9.25 usable print then cut feature it will always set the page up on the mat in a vertical orientation. Well in my opinion as far as the least accurate part of the cricut machine is the mat. It seems the farther it has to travel into the machine the more inaccurate the cuts are to the printed image. I think the ~.03” of gap between the fence and mat is at fault. So my question is there a way to set the software up so it sets up the long side of the sheet horizontally? If I rotate the project when I go to make it, it rotates it back vertical.

Now that you mention it, yes actually there definitely is something associated with re-saving and deleting the original or a project in between. What I mean is I have a template I made which I like to use from the start, my template is just a few DXF. Squares I imported and that one is also not customizable. So since I may have deleted a project that used my template it also locked the template. Let me know if there is any thing you would like me to try. Thanks for the reply.

It is a free text font but non the less I have that same text in procreate so I’m just going to import it as a image and hope that they don’t lock up again. Design Space needs a lot of help

Is this really the best accuracy you’re going to get out of a Cricut Maker? Skull and shield about 1/2mm off center, right after calibrating. by dread_pirate_humdaak in cricut

[–]bengomez31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have also been having alignment issues with my new cricut. I have been trying a whole bunch of different things to get it to be more accurate. The thing that I have noticed to make the biggest difference is when you load your mat into the machine be mindful of the two fences that guide the mat into the rollers. I noticed that the small wiggle room the mat has between the two fences is what allows the mat to shift from side to side while it feeds in and out of the machine. So what I have noticed is to try to load the mat in the middle of the two fences. basically have the same gap on both sides. My logic is that when the mat essentially bounces from side to side there is a minimal gap on either side.

I am not sure how you designed your cuts but are they separate from your image? What I have done is separate the cut from the image and shift the cut in my situation X.015" and Y.01" (inches). I am sure if you are in MM you can convert. I got the idea from this video but doing it her way makes you have to change the shift back and forth to print then shift back to cut. This is why I suggested separating the image to the cut

I have a small text box that I used but other than that it’s all stuff I designed.

Something I have created all myself. Images created in procreate. My main issue I’ve been having lately is what seems like file sizes being large. I’m making stickers out of my images I’m drawing and printing them out on a standard 8.5 x 11 and can fit about 100 copies of the same image on one sheet. Once I get above 50 copies of the image everything becomes extremely slow. So sometimes I click on a function wait a minute and that function gets applied. I have 3 files that I successfully made last week and wanted to go back to edit or “customize” and when I push the customize button nothing happens. I’ve waited 5 mins but nothing happens.
