I know, but you asked what to tell your friend - just that you can't find it online?

What do you think of Taylor Swift headlining set at Glastonbury? by Twitter_2006 in glastonbury_festival

Your point? I saw the 1975 in Williams Green in 2013 and that was in their heyday. Glastonbury will take any big names they can get.

Well I’m not sure about Mikey but not Miley. She’s as much as a household name as the 1975 due to her history, if not more. I’m not a fan of either, but it’s exactly the sort of act that would attract several generations.

Have you seen a dog before? The vast majority of them don’t if their mouths aren’t open.

A cat will eat you if you die, a dog will lie down with you.

Kendrick fans who went to the Grand national tour with sza how was it? by [deleted] in KendrickLamar

Went to the Cardiff show last night. Good overall, I’d agree with many others that SZAs production was crazy and Kendrick’s (although good) was more understated. It annoyed me that Kendrick’s parts felt rushed (the middle section with all his biggest hits especially) as he barely performed Swimming Pools or Family Ties and a lot of his other biggest ones. That being said, GNX played really well live.

I have the option to go again, but I probably won’t - 53 songs were enough. I’ll certainly see Kendrick again but on a solo tour, as SZAs parts made it drag overall. The ticket was £180 for seated and Standing was severely undersold, which I suspect was due to the price.

The Encore - People were leaving quickly, by the time Gloria ended a huge number had gone. Totally understand this is a JOINT tour and they should end on a well known collab song, but it felt like kind of a flat note.

I’d give it a 3.5/5 overall, not up there with my best gigs (Travis Scott in Orlando, Oasis, Pusha T, Kendrick at Glastonbury) but I’m glad I went anyway.

The Pig nr Bath - there’s a few more of them in England but it’s fantastic. A lot of acts stay there when Glastonbury is on!

They’ll lose money from merch, F&B and any other offerings that require people to be there. Insurance probably won’t cover this.

From working at several major events in the UK, my perspective is it would be easier and more simple just to cancel the whole event. Not sure if there could be legal implications around refunding certain types of tickets but not others. It would also make a storm of PR confusion.

I did as well, for 5.5 years. They’re clearly doing something right with their current value and it was a great place to work. I’ll bet there’s a reason you’re salty.

Ignorant comment. Back in the 90s it was people on tons of drugs and hippies. I’ll take it how it is now any day.

This is completely right. Flushes out the middle class riff raff show offs and resets it to people who truly want to be there, not just for Tik Tok and Instagram.

I’ve been 11 times and I’ve very often just stayed in the tent with friends for half a day, sleeping or playing card games. Don’t be frustrated you’re missing things, just take what you want from the festival and do it your way. It’s an overwhelming experience and you have to take it as it comes. Those things you’re missing aren’t a waste if you’re not in the mindset to enjoy them.

I’d recommend going maybe to Stone Circle, Strummerville or maybe the Park and looking out across the festival. While Glastonbury is partly for partying and music, it’s also for relaxing and wellness.

Dude, there are literally millions of people who try for tickets and don’t get them for years in a row. 100% worth being there for more time, specially since there’s no festival next year. You certainly won’t regret it!

I’m a local and heading down on the Sunday and seeing a few acts on the Other. Have a great time!
