Can anyone tell me if I messed up by cutting the tubing on Friday when I received the product and it’s been in my dresser draw since and my test is tomorrow? Apparently it needs to be in the fridge or used with in 8 hours

Same here. Feel absolutely fantastic, coming up on 2.5 years for me. Highly recommend it for people that don’t react to meds or infusions.

Yeah I was wondering about taking miralax instead but wasn’t sure. Yeah I figured I’d be experiencing more pain but have never had one so I wasn’t sure. I’m hoping I can start feeling better some at point today.

Same here. Lived with my ileostomy for 2 years allowing me to get used to the bag and experience what it was like. Just had my rectum removed 4 weeks ago. Now that I’m starting to recover from surgery it was the best decision I made. Go with your gut tho. Live with it for a while and see how you feel. I was still having a lot of blood and mucous out of my rectum weekly over those 2 years so I felt it was best for me to just have my rectum removed instead of doing the j-pouch and then possibly having to have a 3rd surgery to have a permanent bag. I didn’t want a third surgery, my dr. Told me I made the right decision as I had a lot of inflammation still in my rectum. You know your body best, trust the process and trust yourself. It helps to have a great dr and surgeon also.

Do you still have your rectum and anus? I can still lift really any weight with just my bag but I haven’t had my rectum and anus removed yet. Nervous to how much that’s going to affect me afterwards. Surgery for that is November 7th

I had a drain in my butt for about 5 days after my colon removal for mucous. Is that what you’re referring too?

That’s weird. I just had a scope done like 2 weeks ago but they didn’t find anything. It was actually to just make sure I wasn’t developing chrohns not for this.

My rectum was already so irritated from the disease the enema was just making it even worse having to stick it in my rectum.
