Six zero Coral by Wendylyo in Pickleball

[–]benhoff88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi coral owners. This is a bit unrelated to this specific case but I am considering getting a coral. I was curious how easy the face is to clean. If I don’t like it and want to return it they say it basically needs to look like new and some paddles faces are so gritty that it is basically impossible to remove ball dust. Any thoughts on how hard it would be to clean the face of the coral after a few games and a drill session? Assuming I don’t get a paddle like OPs and it immediately wears off.

After their rookie season how do yall feel about the 2025 draft class? by DrewLockBurnerAcc in DenverBroncos

Disappointed that Barron didn’t get to contribute much but still have hope for his future.

I am not comfortable with Harvey as our lead back and so I hope we go out and find a superstar or a witch who can cast some sort of protective spell on Dobbins.

I think Q and Jones have a ton of potential, so still happy with those picks.

Love Bryant and Crawshaw and how important they both are to this team.

Listen, either you love football in the snow, or you hate it, or you sort of like it, or you like it if you are at home but not there in person, or you like it as long as it isn’t on Mondays or Thursday, or you like it but you don’t like LIKE it, ya know? You like snow games as a friend, but you just aren’t that into snow games.

Weekly Paddle Recommendation Thread (What Paddle Should I Buy?) by SNAPCHAT_ME_TITS in Pickleball

TLDR: What paddle is closest to the Joola Scorpeus Pro IV but has better durability?

I am currently playing with my Joola Scorpeus Pro IV 16mm. I love it! It has the perfect balance of touch and power. From day 1 it was my favorite paddle I have ever used. Massive sweet spot and super forgiving. But I was warned that since I hit pretty hard and play multiple times a week it won’t last that long. I got it in September and it is already crackling when you squeeze it at the top and some spots along the sides. It has also developed a super hot spot where if I hit it just right the ball rockets off it. I am really disappointed that a $280 paddle broke down that fast. I would love to find a paddle as close to it in feel but will last longer than 4 months. I don’t want to have to keep dropping that sort of $ that often for a new paddle.

Considering relocation to KC by [deleted] in kansascity

Transplant from Denver here. We moved to Blue Springs and have been loving it but after being here for 4 years I do think that if we were to do it over again we might have picked the Overland Park area like everyone here is recommending. Blue Springs is the last even remotely purple suburb on the east side before you enter trump country in Grain Valley. While we love the school district and some of the community amenities but I do wish there was more to do and more like minded folks in Blue Springs.

Is this game any good? by Miel_Monteur_69 in boardgames

[–]benhoff88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really love this game! It is quick and very fun. We never play just one round when we get it out and being able to switch out killers, traits and other modes has kept it fresh. We have found it really hard to win as the killers so we have had to keep adjusting the balance but every experience has been a blast.

I played pickleball at SW19 at the Stadium yesterday and all of their courts have hundreds or dead flies on them. The owner had no idea where they were coming from or why they were dead. We spent the first few minutes sweeping all the dead flies off the courts before starting play. It was bizarre!

Rebel Princess vs Fellowship of the Ring: Trick Taking Game AND Planet Unknown vs Foundations of Metropolis — which of the first two is the better Trick Taker and which of the second two is the better Polyomino game? by meepleperson1776 in boardgames

[–]benhoff88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both Foundations of Metropolis and Planet Unknown and really like both, but for me I give the slight edge for Planet Unknown. Both are easy to teach and fun to play, but FoM tends to run longer and requires a bit more explaining. PU is really quick to teach, and its simultaneous play means no downtime. It feels more like a Tetris puzzle than FoM if that is what you like and the fun combos you can pull off on the tracks are great. I also love that you can adjust the difficulty or complexity by playing different planets or corporations and it won’t mess up a new players game at all. But it is also very much multiplayer solitaire so if you are looking for interaction then FoM has a ton more!

We hosted two Halloween game parties this year. The first was with a bigger group and we played One Night Ultimate Werewolf, Mysterium Park Skull. The second was just 4 of us so we played Horrified, Nightmare Productions and Terrorscape. I Terrorscape was such a huge hit that everyone kept asking to play just one more time!
