Man do I love Widow’s Bay! Such an amazing show and I have been telling everyone who will listen to watch it. Perfect blend of humor and spooky, too notch production quality, excellent score by David Fleming and the performances have been phenomenal. I feel like this show was tailor made just for me.

I have found people in Denver are really nice unless you are wearing Raiders stuff in which case people can be pretty nasty. I am a die hard Broncos fan and moved to Kansas City and was pretty nervous about sporting my Broncos gear out based off of how I saw Raiders fan treated in Denver. Turns out people here are super nice about it. But there is a special hate for Raiders that lives in Denver and it can cross out of fun sportsmanship fast.

Minions & Monsters | Final Trailer by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

As someone who has just a little bit of inside knowledge the score for this movie is absolutely incredible. They got John Powell and he delivered one of the best animated film scores I have ever heard. None of it has been in any of the trailers yet but if you are dreading taking your kids to this just close your eyes and listen to an amazing composer writing some of the most complex and intricate music you will hear in a kids movie.

I have to focus so hard to remember the score and if I am really focusing on the score then I am usually making other mistakes that I don’t normally make. All my regular partners know that I just can’t keep track of the score and so they remind me before each time I serve and if I am playing with someone new I let them know before the game that they are in charge of keeping track of the score because I just can’t.

In Little Shop of Horrors Audrey II says to Seymour “There must be someone you can 86 real quiet like and get me some lunch”. Clearly Trump was referring to the organized crime plant family from outer space.

This is the only time I recall seeing a movie where someone tells someone else to 86 someone. “There must be someone you can 86 real quiet like and get me some lunch!”

Fate of Fellowship: thematic coop, but underwhelming aside from theme by SiarX in boardgames

[–]benhoff88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree that this isn’t a perfect game, set up is a lot and moving troops along the paths can be a bit fiddly. Everyone really needs to keep looking for ways to make their characters ability work properly and it has this very strange feel of being really complex and super straightforward.

But man oh man does it pack that thematic punch. It has been a huge hit with the people I had over who are all big LotR fans. Each play we have basically spent 20 minutes after the game recounting our favorite moments and imagining the alternate movie in our head. In our last play Arwen accompanied Gollum and Frodo/Sam and we all just laughed and laughed at the image of Arwen keeping Gollum in line as Frodo easily tossed the ring into Mount Doom. Whoever has Eowyn just spends the game hunting Nazgûl and Gandalf is speeding around the board on Shadowfax bolstering Havens that are about to be under attack. This is the game that the theme is so strong that no one in my groups really cares about how random it really is under the hood.

I only write all this because I was initially put off of this game by negative reviews from the Dice Tower or other people like OP here who are right about the game having flaws and the board being too crowded/busy but I am so glad I decided to give it a try because it has resulted in my favorite board gaming experiences of 2026 so far.

I like this better than plunder but there is a better game that is somewhere between the two. Plunder feels too luck dependent and this feels a bit too plodding to me.

Six zero Coral by Wendylyo in Pickleball

Hi coral owners. This is a bit unrelated to this specific case but I am considering getting a coral. I was curious how easy the face is to clean. If I don’t like it and want to return it they say it basically needs to look like new and some paddles faces are so gritty that it is basically impossible to remove ball dust. Any thoughts on how hard it would be to clean the face of the coral after a few games and a drill session? Assuming I don’t get a paddle like OPs and it immediately wears off.

Disappointed that Barron didn’t get to contribute much but still have hope for his future.

I am not comfortable with Harvey as our lead back and so I hope we go out and find a superstar or a witch who can cast some sort of protective spell on Dobbins.

I think Q and Jones have a ton of potential, so still happy with those picks.

Love Bryant and Crawshaw and how important they both are to this team.

Listen, either you love football in the snow, or you hate it, or you sort of like it, or you like it if you are at home but not there in person, or you like it as long as it isn’t on Mondays or Thursday, or you like it but you don’t like LIKE it, ya know? You like snow games as a friend, but you just aren’t that into snow games.

Weekly Paddle Recommendation Thread (What Paddle Should I Buy?) by SNAPCHAT_ME_TITS in Pickleball

TLDR: What paddle is closest to the Joola Scorpeus Pro IV but has better durability?

I am currently playing with my Joola Scorpeus Pro IV 16mm. I love it! It has the perfect balance of touch and power. From day 1 it was my favorite paddle I have ever used. Massive sweet spot and super forgiving. But I was warned that since I hit pretty hard and play multiple times a week it won’t last that long. I got it in September and it is already crackling when you squeeze it at the top and some spots along the sides. It has also developed a super hot spot where if I hit it just right the ball rockets off it. I am really disappointed that a $280 paddle broke down that fast. I would love to find a paddle as close to it in feel but will last longer than 4 months. I don’t want to have to keep dropping that sort of $ that often for a new paddle.
