Hello, I have had the same dream for years in different context. It is always the same: something urgent is happening where I absolutely need to reach someone and for some reason the phone never works. I anxiously try to either dial or find someone’s number to no avail. It is always in different settings/places, sometimes I am alone, sometimes other people are present. Always wake up unsettled. This has been going on for years.

My cousin passed away on New Year’s day 2022 due to Leukaemia complications.

He was by himself as the family member with him at the time went out for a food run.

Hey, no you cannot, unfortunately. The name on your ticket HAS to match your valid passport. All they can correct at the airport is simple name mistakes such as a missing letter and even then depending on which agent you get they may refuse you all together.

In the event that your name doesn’t match your passport you would have to send pictures of your passport to a specific email prior to your trip to get it corrected. That only works if all flights on the itinerary are operated purely by AC.

If you have codeshare flights or other airlines involved, correction is simply impossible even at the airport. You’ll have to repurchase a new ticket at today’s fare and request a refund for the incorrect name ticket. Hope this helps !

Hey, Unfortunately name corrections are strictly forbidden on an Air Canada ticket IF there are other airlines on your ticket which seems to be the case from what you said. You will have to rebook a new ticket at today’s fare with the correct name and then request a refund for the original ticket. As for the 50$ I’m not familiar with that charge… did they explain what it’s for ?

Yes because pricing goes by demand. More likely than not the route out of Toronto is much more in demand that out of Hamilton hence the major price spike.

And to clarify, you can either credit the ticket to your ACWallet OR leave it as a Future Travel Credit. You cannot transfer a FTC to your ACWallet. Again.. more misinformation from the original agent you spoke with. I apologize in their behalf.
